Rules are broken every where. The difference is does your program report and discipline once they find it or do they attempt to hide and cover things up.

The money wasn't coming directly from Alabama with our knowledge and from what has been released we have not tried to cover anything up. That is where the NCAA hits you and we're clear there.

I believe the state of Alabama has a law in place that punishes agents with jail time for messing with college athletes.

I don't like what I've been reading and as of now I think at worst UA will get a stern "talking to" and maybe have to sacrifice a scholarship or two.

I literally lol'd.

To the topic at hand, I went to HS with Fluker when he was a freshman. I am not shocked at all he would be the guy to get caught.

DJ is a good hearted kid.

He might have made a bad decision, but the guy came from nothing, and shed his blood, sweat, and tears for our program, which is 100 times more than you will ever do for the University. Calling him a retard is pretty low.

This sounds accurate to me, anyone else?

To give my take on why Saban got so mad, he probably believes DJ took money and is really disappointed in him. Just what it seems like using context, prior knowledge, etc.

People seem to think (hope) Saban got so mad because he knows something, but I think he got so mad because he expected more from Fluker.

I have no idea where this goes, but no matter how it plays out it will hurt UA especially with recruiting and trying to finish this class out. The last few spots are for top targets we are trying to pull out of state against top programs. This will be used against us and I will bet players like Hand(who I doubt was coming) will now be headed to UM without a doubt.

My concern is how did Yahoo get all this info. I am not a lawyer but bank records and text messages have to be subpoenaed if I remember correctly. Yahoo does not have that power and the freedom of information act does not apply here. The snake in the grass here seems to be Davis. He is the only one that would have all that info between so many different people or groups involved. Reading between the lines it appears Davis was hustling these groups or people and many of them seem to think they were getting Fluker. I wonder if Davis when he could not deliver was cut off and he is now mad and threaten to expose them all. The NFL will and can suspend all fore mentioned parties from being agents in the NFL and these states(all 3 I believe TN, AL, and MS) can prosecute now for these types of actions.

These groups will not back any story nor will the players involved. Davis is looking for a payday and unless he talks it will go away. The NCAA can not subpoena either but I am not sure it matters how they acquire info either however they want to use it. In a court evidence not legally obtained will be thrown out but just like the NCAA can not subpoena no one can bring legal recourse against the NCAA for how they operate.

This all comes down to Davis and whether he talks. I do not think what was out there can prove anything, based on what I saw. It may raise questions and has me worried, but I saw no proof of funds going to anyone except Davis or any text that went to any player other than saying tied to said player. Just my opinion but Davis is the only concern I would have right now.

Correct. A private entity like Yahoo can't get access to those without the cooperation of the account holder.

It wouldn't be anyone else. Agents are filth and scum, but they aren't going to commit career suicide because they wasted a few thousand dollars in an effort at signing a player. I seriously doubt any of the implicated players turned all of this over either. It's pretty obviously Luther Davis who is behind all of this. Hopefully he falls up some stairs.

We should be fine. If it turns out we knew about his ineligibility and still played him, then we're fricked. But if we didn't even know about it until after he was gone, then I have to believe we shouldn't be punished too heavily. I wouldn't be surprised either way. 2011 and 2012 could easily be vacated

Hope this is all. Hell Bama has already lost 30 wins. I just hope they don't vacate any more.

You guys are full of it man.

For starters games aren't stripped unless the school knew about the violation beforehand as with the textbooks and Antonio Langham , nor can you get penalties for lack of knowledge.

Fluker and Davis can't be forced by Bama or the NCAA to talk and the punk agent who turned in Luther ( no doubt the punk wanted to get rid of comp.) has stated on WJOX today that he WILL NOT turn his evidence over to the NCAA , and even if he did , there is no way the NCAA can prove that it was DAVIS & FLUKER without subpoena power.

The ace in th hole is that Emmert knows Saban is not a cheater , so why would he turn his head to JFF taking 5 figures but come after Saban?

RELAX , BAMA ISN'T PAYING PLAYERS , YOU KNOW IT AND I KNOW IT.AND EMMERET KNOWS IT.
