The biggest issue was Jalen throwing as many pick sixes (4, not including the OU tackle) as passing touchdowns after Georgia (5)

It doesn’t need to be discussed any longer at least knocking him.
Yeah, it kinda does, and we will… we’re watching the playoffs from our couches because of a paid player, who was abysmal, and we’ll knock him because he is the reason we’re watching from our couches for the first time in a long, long time.

Bryce doesn't have a natty because Metchie and Jamo got hurt in the SECCG and NCG. Period. And it still took uga a 4th qtr comeback to beat him without them. O-line was fine in 2021.
Speaking of not forgiving players, I'll never forgive Hall and Holden for dropping those beautiful dimes by Bryce in the fourth quarter against Georgia that killed the drive and made us settle for a field goal. We got the fumble the next uga series and then scored a touchdown. Would have probably put us up two scores halfway through the 4th.

Tell Bryce Young that. The Bama QB got sacked 41 times in ‘21 (2.73 / game); second worst in the SEC, they were ranked 120th out of 130 teams in protecting their QB nationally…

…you and I have different definitions of ‘fine’…
Young was a generational QB whose abilities and performance covered up a lot of deficiencies, and not just the OL…

This doesn't get enough attention really. Ok has been shite for years for some reason

Not to mention Ja'corey Brooks misplayed a pass the play before the pick 6, at the UGA 15…it was a similar pass to the one Brooks caught to send the Iron Bowl into OT but for some reason he tried to one-hand it…would’ve been a good catch but one he had made before. Also think our TE dropped a TD pass earlier in the game and we had to settle for a FG…a lot of drops in that game…

He was the oline's problem. Impossible to be consistent with an inconsistent QB.

I could get used to this new player/fan dynamic. They want their money, their millions, their right to transfer whenever they want? Fine, take it. But now I get to shite all over them, just as I would any professional athlete in any sport that doesn't do his fricking job, yet still reaps the benefits.
Preach it. Exactly how I feel and....
Jalen proved all the naysayers right. He owes Coach BOB an apology.

Jalen was giving away plays with small things, like where his feet were prior to the snap.
When they we staggered back, it was pass. When they were level, it was run.
Coaches should be able to make him aware of these small things, and get him to break those tendencies. And I’m sure they did, but he never stopped.
The offensive line can only have success if the signal caller isn’t giving away every play. To be honest, considering they had an inept, transparent RB cosplaying as a QB, they did pretty well.
TL;DR - Milroe.

The OL being terrible was egregious.
Yeah kinda like how Seth McLaughlin was the worst center of all time until he got away from Milroe and won the Remington trophy the next year

Him but the OL while not utterly atrocious pulled its oars in our offensive issues. We can do better.

I was ecstatic for the bowl game just to see Simpson and Mack run the offense for that reason and frankly my anger at Milroe was not just that we lost to a Michigan program I despise, but that now setting any expectations around next years offense is basically impossible until the games start.
We don’t know if we have an effective QB.
We don’t know the system.
We don’t know the effectiveness of the line.
We don’t know if the WR unit will be fixed by better reads.
All of that is down to one player.
Couldn't have stated this any better. It is the greatest pet-peeve I had with Milroe playing - I would have preferred watching ANY of the other QB's take the offense for the bowl game.
And the game ended in the most unlike-Bama fashion I've seen in a long time - almost the exact opposite of 4th & 31. The qb with the great arm, runs around in the back field before lofting a ball half-way & half-assed to it's target.
An offensive play in more than one sense - completely encapsulated their season on it's closing note.

i think its a two fold deal. as bad as the ol seemed to play there were still multiple gaping holes in most games that both qb and rb's just whiffed on. i'd just shake my head at seeing the qb or rb run straight into the pile with a gaping hole one cut away

Brailsford was better this year... so what's your excuse for him?
Also Seth struggles snapping started with Bryce Young. Should we blame Bryce as well?

Bama had so many issues in 2024 that it's hard to know which was the worse.
OL-average at best
RB-same
QB-unpredictable
OC-unclear due to all the above
1st year for Kalen and staff.
On to 2025 and hope for a better result.
