Part of me thinks TRob stays and is just running up his salary.

I don’t get “former player” as a qualifier for the DC position.

Bama players need to look at the success rate when transferring to Texas...hasn't worked out so far. All of them have been flops.

No one - and I mean no one - ever believes they'll be the next "flop", not matter how many examples you provide.

The idea that one needs to have played major football to understand it is as prevalent as it is untrue.

It might've been true decades ago, but I agree - for quite a while now it's not really relevant.

I said the same thing yesterday, while explaining TRob may still be in play, and I was literally ridiculed the rest of the day by a handful of posters here that have no idea how business works.

This was my post, it was downvoted into oblivion along with anything else I said over the last couple days regarding retaining TRob.

Then of course it turns out to be 100% spot on. He was indeed still in play.

Perhaps DeBear since being allowed to land and shite, shower, and shave has had a chance to now reach out to him. He said he wanted to retain someone with ties to the south, to aid in recruiting. Well it doesn't get any better than TRob for that.

TRob was offered the Co DC at uga

Perhaps DeBear calls and offers DC

Then it would make perfect sense. TRob would be leveraging himself up the ladder same as Jimmy Sextons clients.

But I'll say this, if Kirby wasn't a little anxious about DeBoer being at BAMA, he wouldn't be offering recruiters co-DC jobs when he already has Schumann.

I don't think that is the case at all. I think Kirby thought that he is a helluva recruiter and replacing Muschamp's role with someone who worked under Muschamp. I don't think Bama has anything to do with anything.

I'll support whoever is the DC but that may not be good.

You can't just be finding out you present your info in such a douchetastic manner people just don't like it/you.

Kirby doesn't have good recruiters?

This move was to cripple BAMA more than it was to help uga. Kirby has the #1 recruiting class now. He needs more help?

It doesn't matter to ME so much as I dont like the mob mentality here that isn't good for discussion.

There are people here that get really nasty when you say things that they dont agree with, and they use the mob downvote to "prove" how wrong they think your idea is, and to attempt to make you feel unwelcome with your ideas. Then of course they end up being wrong. lol

Posters like myself that often have a different perspective eventually go away. Then all youre left with is an echo chamber which is bad for the intellectual health of any forum.

Ten Bears called me last night and his take is get the fuk out of the appeasement mode by trying to kiss the azz of of all those on the roster! He says let the HC hire his staff that he wants regardless to all players that might go. Just get it out of the way and move on.

Ten Bears has been part of the Ray Perkins, Bill Curry(where is my sunglasses), Gene Stallings, Mike Dubose (the clapper),Dennis Franchione (hold the rope), Mike Price(it's rolling baby), Mike Shula (we're close) and then finally Nick Saban.

Maybe we just need to the man work and kind of prepare for a 7-5 season.

Both Ten Bears and I were only 8 when Coach Bryant came to town so we were more into Sky King, Fury, and Roy Rogers. Even at 8 I knew no Cowboy had a jeep. C'Mon Man

I think in a forum like this one, which self admittedly is a guilty pleasure because no time spent here is really productive, It's probably a good thing to not fit in.

Nobody had any problems with my post for years until a couple days ago when I pointed out somebody dropped the ball letting TRob get out the door.

OK. Having people too pussy to withstand criticism and choosing to leave a forum isn't on the mob. It's on the pussy.
Who GAF if you're down voted? I know I don't. My opinion isn't affected by that. I rarely even look at it. I almost NEVER use the function myself.
Opinion is the reason for this forum. Give yours and move on. Or don't.
