I think Metchie could have improved an entire round if he'd returned...as it is I'd guess third round coming off injury.
The defense could be flat out nasty next season if they come in with a junkyard dog mentality game 1 on.

I think we all know that at this point, just because we guessed the draft mock doesn't mean it'll be like that in April... ot of people can say oh he's worth 3rd round.. and then this person could get drafted late 2nd round. anything can happen.

I really believe in this. From a physical standpoint these guys are elite outside wr prospects. Sure they struggled in the championship game, they’re freshmen going against an elite defense with upperclassmen DBs. I think having that humbling experience will make them better.
And yeah Hall was a roller coaster. But judging on his tweets and the talk of the coaching staff, he turned it around by the end of the year. Let’s not overlook that when Jamo went down, he’s the guy that went in. He passed everyone else on the roster for that next man in spot, including players older than him.
At least one, if not both of these guys is primed to have a strong offseason and breakout as at least an all-sec player.

Kind of a dumb statement. No clue if those guys are going to develop into starting receivers. I hope they do. But I've seen no evidence that guarantees anything about that 1-2 punch. I hope they put in the work needed to get their. But I'm hoping someone like Josh Downs enters the portal. LSU fans sound like they've paid enough to keep Boutte around next fall. I'd love to get someone established that wants a shitload of national publicity and a ring.
