I disagree. Also most that seem to dislike him are players that dont play as much.

I just think Ware (FITS) our style of play and he's trying to showcase all of his abilities and the only way to do that is play for a coach who allows you to play freely.
The NIL stuff is the icing on the cake lol

Sounds about right. The biggest difference between Ware and Clowney is that Clowney plays hard every minute he's on the floor and Ware does not. He's a lottery pick if you can bring out his potential for 25+ minutes a game, but that's a big if. That's why I'm not really enthused by the idea of bringing him in to be honest. Altman is a good coach with a pretty solid track record of sending guys to the NBA. It's not like he was playing for some dipshit who doesn't know what he's doing and ran a shitty program. I mean you never know I suppose. Maybe he just didn't vibe well with such a big culture change going from Arkansas to Oregon. Just doesn't strike me as a situation where a guy with an inconsistent motor is suddenly going to turn it on with a change in scenery.

One thing I like about Ware is that his per 40 minute stats are very good
Every 40 minutes he plays he averages 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Every 40 minutes Clowney averaged 15 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
One shot 28% from 3 one shot 27%.
So not that much difference.
Ware didnt get a ton of minutes at Oregon he only averaged 16 minutes a game for whatever reason.
I still think Ware is a lot better suited to play center in our system instead of forward but he’d probably play some of both if we get him.

A change of style will though. Our style is DIFFERENT and like I've mentioned earlier... Coach Oats allows his players to play freely and maybe Ware needs just that.
Just my honest opinion.

Seems like a weird weekend for a visit. Maybe he’s ready to commit.

Because he doesn't play hard all the time. If you got a ton of effort out of the guy he's 17/10 with 2+ blocks every night waiting to happen.

He was the backup to N’Faly Dante too who is one of the better centers in the country, he averaged 26 minutes a game Ware averaged 16.

Concerns are warranted, but considering how much of a luxury he would be for us, I'm not afraid to give him a chance. If he doesn't play hard, he won't play at all. If he does play hard though, we'll have the most formidable defensive frontcourt once again.
As for Altman, he's a good overall coach, but hasn't had a top 50 defense the last 4 seasons, despite having some notable defensive talent. Some guys coach better than they can motivate.

Can you copy and paste the post? I'm curious what they supposedly said. Because there's joking around, and there's talking shite. And with as much as rival fans and media have been loving fricking with Bama basketball lately, you'd think it would be the top post on Reddit or the rant.
Personally, I find it hard to believe Griffen is looking to transfer. If he was, it seems like he'd already be in the portal.

Losing Griffin would be a big deal.
He was awful down the stretch, but his potential is through the roof. I truly believe he could be a 20ppg/40% 3P guy if the light comes on and was made for this offensive system.
That said if he’s a bad attitude guy he needs to be gone.

From some guy on TI
• I watched(my son had it on) R Griffen and N Burnett insta live last
• And these were the things they stated?1) Coleman is a dump, S Ala the only gym they played in that was worse?2) Oats is not a player's coach, he is not approachable and shows favortism?3) Pringle and Rojas(yr before) absolute dominate practice and do not get to play much?4) There were 3 guys on team this yr Oats was trying to get to the league and could do no wrong?5) Other than those three others were put in and pulled after first mistake and couldnt get in rhythm?6) The two's were dominating the one's at end of yr practices?I know sounds like a lof of sour grapes on their parts. I see no way Griffen stays, he is in Texas and not even going to class. I guess its the age we live in, players dont get to play as much as they want and they transfer.

Griffen
Was a fricking ball hog at the end of the year, and missed everything. He wants to blast coach, but I never saw him do anything to earn playing time at the end of the year. He fell off a cliff after the Auburn game. Kid has loads of potential, but isn't near it yet.
Regarding Pringle, he showed why he didn't play much early in the year. He fouls constantly, and isn't near the defender Bediako is. Practice is not a game.
I did notice at time we got stuck with a certain rotation, even when they weren't playing great. There were games where we would have backups in and they would pull away from opposing teams. I do think Oats should have managed the rotation a bit better late in the year. But you can't pull Miller for long stretches, nor could he pull Bediako and Clowney against top teams. Not for long. I do think Sears at the end of the year could have used some more bench time. His head wasn't there. Burnett probably could have used some more minutes instead.
I dunno. That sounds a lot like sour grapes. Also, coaches shouldn't be "players coaches". You think Wooden, Knight, Krzyzewski...etc, we're player's coaches? frick no.
I'll agree that Coleman is a dump. Though surely the player's spaces are nice.
I also refuse to believe Rojas can dominate anyone at a top half P5 school. Not a chance. Dude barely knows how to run.

Didn't Griffen's mom make some comment when the season ended about "You know what you gotta do?"
If so, might be related.

All of those definitely sound like they could be true. I noticed the quick pull on our backup 2&3 guards and thought the same thing about getting in the flow of the game. Heck, Nate talks about playing defense and letting the offense come to you. That’s really hard to do in 4 min stretches where you might touch the ball only twice before back on the bench.
Losing all 3 coaches at the same time, and all three to relatively lower tier programs isn’t a great look, but Oats is the best coach we’ve had in a long, long time. So he gets time to figure things out and adjust if needed.
We need the new arena and good NIL, though! Can’t have a Saban like coaching personality at a program with lower tier resources. That won’t work for recruiting or getting good coaches.
