Oregon is an intriguing potential matchup. They have a freaky 7 foot freshman, Kel’el Ware

Oregon is one of those programs people don't seem to talk about much despite them being pretty successful for a while now. They have occasional down years, but Altman has turned them into a consistent top 20, 2nd weekend of the tournament type program.

I'm kinda pissed. Fifa is so absurdly corrupt. If they were only partially corrupt, the World Cup would be going on right now, instead of during the busiest time of year for sports. I'd love to be watching it now, because there isn't shite on TV during the summer.

But nope.

I figure in the organizers' minds the seeds are

1. UNC
2. Oregon
3. Alabama
4. Villanova
5. Iowa State
6. Michigan State
7. UConn
8. Portland

But that really doesn't make sense. Uconn shouldn't be 7th.

yea only going by paper but of the teams id say the only 2 without any real expectations of being ranked to start are portland and iowa st. id probably put izzo ahead of uconn and nova is a bit of wild card but would agree that us, oregon, and ofcourse unc's bitch arse look like the top 3 right now.

I think they wanted two blue bloods on each side: UNC/Villanova and Michigan State/Alabama.

I think you can swap us out for UConn then.

I don’t know if I’d consider us a blue blood lol

The delay worked in our favor. Need Mckennie and Gio Reyna to be fully healed by then.

At first glance it seems really strange looking at that bracket but I actually love the format and wish more early season tournaments would follow something closer to that.

Nope. They did put the local teams against the top teams to start, which isn't surprising. Might as well put the top dogs against the teams anyone would stomp. After that, I just think they went with the most interesting matchups. They want it to be competitive. There's a ton of football that weekend, and they don't want to get killed in the ratings.

Hell, I completely overlooked you joke, and was ready to debate if Villanova was actually a blueblood, or if Jay Wright was just a badass coach.

I'm not sure if I love or hate our time slot. 930 on Thanksgiving and 9 pm on Friday. I camp every year for Thanksgiving, and we party pretty hard during that week. But it allows me to do shite during the day. Thursday is usually the chillest night, since everyone's worn out from Thanksgiving dinner stuff a couple days of late nights, so it might end up being perfect

A cold turkey sandwich and a cup of coffee should work.
