How dare you, sir. I’ll have you know I spent that money on a wolf/German shepherd mix. And some racist t-shirts.

We are not going to pay any one of these star transfers $3.5 million. That’s what Haggerty from Memphis wants (down from $4 million). The House settlement supposedly will require verification of NIL awards according to market value. This year teams’ billionaire boosters are just tossing out money to likely overvalued players.

The only thing that has been saving me from melting that we missed out on Coawrd was getting Rylan….if we are missing on both it’s time to worry. We don’t have anybody who can play the 3.
Bethea, Bristow, Mallette, Allen, and Jemison can all play on the wing as a 3. They're all just as big or bigger than Griffen. I wouldn't mind Griffen being at Bama, but a 6'5" shooting guard (not a lead guard) who can sometimes play the 3 is not a need at this point, especially if Philon comes back.

Alabama doesn't need Rylan Griffen. They need a point guard and one more big. Bristow can probably be a SF/PF combo tbh. Still need size and a point.

My biggest concern is that we have the money to land at least one of these types but we're saving it in hopes Philon comes back and if he doesn't there won't be anybody left worth spending it to get.

We need another wing and a PG.

Sherrell , Williamson, TBB can all play the 5.

TBB, Jemison, and Bristow can play the 4.

We need another quality guy at the 3 and a PG. That’s why Griffen and Philon would have been perfect.

Wish Nate would start getting involved with the international recruits. Maybe not to the extent Illinois has, but some

I'm not going to melt over Rylan because I think Amari Allen is just as good.

Bama's highschool recruiting class is so UNDERRATED.

Amari Allen is 6'6, athletic as heck, and can shoot.

I also believe that people are forgetting Houston Mallette.

Both of those guys can do everything Rylan Griffen does in my honest opinion.

I wish he would go a different direction from having Brian Adams as a defensive coach but if not... I'm a just have to hold off and see what he can do with a more athletic group of players.

I think we will be much improved defensively with the new players on the roster.

I wonder if we gave Kameron Hobbs a look.

The only knock on him is his height.

Effortless shooting stroke though.

This is getting out of hand y'all. Y'all having meltdown over the nil deals, not getting the players YOU wanted... And on top of that melting down over a bad rumor about this year being last for Oats.

Then that constantly bickering over the potential lineup for next year.

Oats know what he's doing and he has plans for everything and they're working on it. Just sit back and let them work. I think we will have a good team this fall.

Since Joka sort of brought this us, what do you guys believe Philon's strength is. He has good height for a point guard. Early in the year he had a pretty good soft float shot on his drives in the paint. His lob passes to the center were pretty good. But IMO he isnt a great shooter, he isnt a great ball handler, he wasnt a great passer other than the lobs, he doesnt drive hard to the basket like Sears and create fouls. He isnt super quick and thus isnt a great defender. Not saying he was bad at these things, but was he great at them?

Philon was the best defender amongst the guards, easily.
