Took like a decade but Curry seems to have finally gotten that program to a good place. They're on track for 4 consecutive 20 win seasons and a 4th tournament in 5 years.

Can we change the title considering this thread is 95% general season talk (still love the game threads though)

I think only "recruiting" threads can be stickied though, isn't that how we got here?

I’d rather it just not be stickied

Nah. It's perfectly normal to have a recruiting thread where nobody talks about recruiting for several pages at a time.

If she were losing there would be much discussion by the losers on this board, wanting her head. Now, no discussion. Pathetic humans.
It’s true. Just go back to her early years.

Tomorrow is a huge game for us. Road wins in the SEC this year are going to be worth their weight in gold and this is statistically the most likely one for us. Glad we tested ourselves with a couple tough road games in the nonconference slate.

to be fair we are missing one of the all time great posters that used to provide daily updates on all sports. We miss you Alabama_Fan, come back!

I'm glad she turned it around, but she had the longest leash of any coach I've known about at Alabama. She didn't get to the NCAA tournament or have a winning SEC record until her 10th year. All the discussion about her job performance was warranted.

It's going to be tough from here on out. #10 TAMU is after that, then #23 Ole Miss, then #6 Kentucky, then a 13-1 Vandy team... yadda yadda yadda.
The SEC is the best it has ever been this year. By a good margin.

If we are going to truly compete for the Sec title we have to sweep these two upcoming road games and then beat Ole Miss. 4-0 going into Lexington. A&M is a bad perimeter shooting team and we have the experience to make their crowd a small factor.

Nate Oats on "Hey Coach" tonight recalling his arrival at Alabama in 2019: "My first practice here, you go back to it, it was 2 weeks after they finished the season with the previous staff. We practiced and I think we had half the team throwing up on a light practice compared to what we did at Buffalo. They were cramping and the whole deal.
"We've got different people that come through and watch different colleges. We practice a lot harder than most colleges do."

There is so much irony in Oats being the ideal coach in the mind of the average FOG.

We just gotta protect home court and win 3 or 4 of the road games.

We’ll, I will be there to help make it happen.

Thank goodness for the "long leash". The two Alabama Women's Coaches records prior to Curry:
Stephany Smith-2006, 2007, 2008-27 wins, 61 loses
Wendall Hudson-2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013-68 wins, 87 loses
Since Curry has taken over after those 8 years of misery-
212 wins, 154 loses
As noted, 3 NCAA tournaments the last 4 years... it takes awhile to right the ship

Tennessee having one of those games that Dalton Knecht made you forget they were prone to under Barnes

Stute is out for the game tomorrow. That’s one shooter off the floor.

Looks like we are currently -9.5 for tomorrow.
