I don't think we had him listed on page 1. sounds like he's been showing out this summer on adidas 3ssb circuit (highlight reel i posted.) so maybe a bit of a late riser on our board.

Allen is a big wing with a good skill-set and well-rounded floor game. At 6-foot-6, he can dribble, pass, and shoot. He's a solid athlete with some toughness to him, and also has a high IQ and good feel for the game.
Allen is a consistent shooting threat with soft touch when he's in rhythm from behind the three-point line (41% in 3SSB play). He's also a very functional ball-handler within the flow of the offense. He's not necessarily going to blow by his man, but he's good with the ball, and may even be able to be a team's secondary ball-handler when he isn't facing too much ball pressure. Allen is also a heady passer and capable of reading the floor well.
Physically he has good size at 6-foot-6 and is a solid athlete in open space, but has relatively short arms (measured 6-foot-7.75 wingspan in July of 2024) and doesn't always explode through contact in the lane of as a finisher. Defensively, he's competitive and smart, but not a superfluid laterally mover. He can be foul prone.

Same here, sounds like he has impressed lately and has been a late climber.
I think Oats has spoiled me because I'm not super enthused over getting a top 100 recruit. I'm going to blame the transfer portal because these kinds of guys seem to dip out after a year or two.

That scouting report sounds like he's everything Oats wants on offense but he's a traffic cone defensively. Not really sure how I feel about that. Maybe he hit a late growth spurt and he's got more like a 6'9"-6'10"wingspan now, thus the green light to commit.

According to Tipton we met with AJ last night. He’ll also be in town for Bama/UGA. Staff also meeting with Burries and McCoy (2026) today as well.

From the Tuscaloosa Thread:
The Crimson Tide are likely the best team in college basketball, with Bill Self's Kansas squad coming in at a close second. The rat poison has already started for the Crimson Tide, with the Director of Scouting at 247 Sports and CBS, Adam Finkelstein, heaping praise onto this roster with 55 days until the first official game inside Coleman Coliseum.
"I'm looking at this roster, and I just don't see who doesn't play. There are legitimately 12 or 13 guys on this roster that absolutely have to play," Finkelstein said.
"You're talking about either legitimate All-American candidates or legitimate NBA Draft candidates at virtually every position on the floor."
"I think [Mark Sears] is going to be one of the best guards in college basketball again this year, then you add Cliff Omoruyi in the middle; just a defensive monster, talk about protecting the rim. Grant Nelson, the skilled big. You've got Jarin Stevenson, who I've talked about as a potential breakout guy. We're not even mentioning Mouhamed Dioubate yet, who is kind of like the defensive extraordinaire of this group."
Finkelstein went on to talk about the young additions to Alabama basketball as well, "Derrion Reid, you're hearing tremendous things about how he is acclimating so far as a freshman. Houston Mallette is another one."
"This is ridiculous," Finkelstein said. "There's just too many guys. Call the intrasquad scrimmage the conference championship game.

ESPN has some of our dates confirmed that were not previously (maybe?). See link below.
Ole Miss was 1/14 or 15 and confirmed for 1/14
Vandy was 1/21 or 22 and confirmed for 1/21
Miss St was 2/25 or 26 and confirmed for 2/25
Fla was 3/4 or 5 and confirmed for 3/4
Unless they didn't get the memo and posted those without knowing. It's kind of odd it's the first date in all those options.

He reminds me a bit of a taller Aaron Estrada around the basket.

I was looking at going to Boutwell, $300 a ticket on StubHub including fees. General Admission.

Best time to buy is within an hour of the game starting.
On the flip side, I wish we could do away with the fees these websites charge.

Tick Pick doesn’t have fees. But their ticket prices are higher so it’s a wash

His brand, style of play, and his development... that's how he keeps doing it.
