You aren't wrong but there's also a better chance the game is meaningless except for pride by the numbers heading into the SEC tourney. That could work in our favor just as well.

Wanted to pass along some interesting insight from Mark Sears' appearance at an Alumni Chapter fundraiser in Dothan last night.
My brother's boss is a huge fan with money and has brought him along for the past few years. Chris Stewart and Tyler Watts were the main speakers. My brother said Mark was a man of few words and that Chris would have these deep, thought out questions for Mark which would then be answered with just a word or two lol, but he did give some interesting news about development during the off-season:
1) The freshmen and young guys have really been putting in a lot of work. Nothing groundbreaking there.
2) Latrell Wrightsell has been putting in a lot of work to his inside scoring game, becoming a well-rounded scorer.
3) He said that Cliff is smaller than Chuck, but thinks Cliff will end up being a better rim protector!
4) and finally, he said to expect to see a lot from Grant now that he is getting to play his natural position
To summarize, buy your tickets to San Antonio asap

Hate that they added a $25 nonrefundable fee to even be part of the F4 lottery, given you have no idea what your probability of winning is. I’ve won it twice when there wasn’t a fee, but never tried after the fee started until this year. We find out next month if we were selected.
Need to keep the streak alive of the Tide making every F4 that I’ve been a season ticket holder, although I jokingly blame the success on my son. I’ve mentioned before, but he’s literally never seen us lose in Coleman over some 40-50 games. Including the Florida OT game last season, the close AU game last season, the 17 point comeback win in OT against AU 2 season ago, the 1 point win against Arkansas a few seasons ago, etc, etc. The kid is the most blessed (or luckiest) kid I’ve ever seen, and it’s infuriating during family game nights. Here’s hoping he can add about 10-15 more to his streak, because we’ll be at most of the Coleman games this year. Road to SA is just around the corner!
Edit: booked hotel when we got Cliff, booked flights last week, just need game tickets and the Tide to dominate. I know the probability of back to back F4s is low, but imagine how awesome it will be if we make it!

Apparently season threads are no longer allowed so Saint/Boz will be starting game threads for each game. I always felt like the discussion was at its worst during the actual games so this sucks for me. I will probably be posting a lot less this year as a result. I'll just have to be on the lookout for when George starts one of his analytics threads.
I'm also not interested in running the recruiting thread as a standalone. It can be a lot of work to keep it updated and without the fun of the season thread I won't get as much enjoyment from it. It's a new era on the board so we need some new blood to run the recruiting thread. Any interest?
RIP to season threads and to the fellas that spent year in and year out in them over the past decade... from the NIT to the Final Four - good times were had.

Yeah for basketball fans this is absolutely going to suck. Especially when both football and basketball are going on at the same time.

What’s to stop the recruiting thread from becoming the recruiting and all other discussion other than the actual game thread?
