Fair enough... Point was moreso that rutgers isnt gonzaga, baylor, or houston.. or even tennessee or arkansas.

We could lose against Notre Dame too. His point remains though. There is no real reason to think that Rutgers would "shut us down". Listing their "impressive wins" as the reason to not bet on us is highly ironic. Resume wise, they're a shittier version of us. Doesn't mean they won't win, but it's silly to pretend that we're the underdogs if we play them.

Got Villanova winning the whole thing. Beat UCLA 75-73.

Yes we have beaten better teams but have you seen our form recently? We are playing horribly. We can’t seem to get out of our own way lately. We beat Baylor, Tenn, Arkansas, Houston, four of our impressive wins, at home too.
Anyway don’t want to go on a negative diatribe against my own team; desperately hope we win a couple of games in the tournament.

Absolutely agree
Our first round draw is as good as we could get. One of two very flawed power 5 teams that Oats can show film of beating good teams that don't have some of the traits of teams that we struggle with.
Much, much better draw for us than some other 10/11/12s.

Its a new season, this team has a chance to end on high note. I havent seen poor effort , just have to play smarter. Weve seen what theyre capable of when things click.

Roll Tide! And RollTide.com:
Alabama Earns No. 6 Seed in 2022 NCAA Tournament and Will Play the Winner of Notre Dame/Rutgers Friday
The Crimson Tide earns back-to-back NCAA Tournament births for the first time in 15 years
The University of Alabama men's basketball team earned the No. 6 seed in the 2022 NCAA Tournament and will face the winner of No. 11 seeds Notre Dame and Rutgers on Friday, March 18, in San Diego, Calif. The exact tipoff time and television designation will be announced at a later date.
The Crimson Tide (19-13) earned the No. 6 seed in the West Region one year after garnering the No. 2 seed in last year's NCAA Tournament. It is not only the first time earning consecutive tournament appearances in 15 years, dating back to 2005 and 2006, but the first time in 30 years earning back-to-back NCAA Tournament seeds of No. 6 or better (was a No. 4 seed in 1991 and No. 5 seed in 1992).
It marks the 22nd NCAA Tournament appearance in program history, with Alabama owning a record of 21-21 (.500). The Crimson Tide's 2004 team is the only squad in program history to reach the Elite 8 while UA has appeared in the Sweet 16 eight times including a year ago.
NCAA Tournament Notes
*The tournament appearance is the Tide's 22nd in program history and second in as many years after earning a spot in last year's Sweet 16 (No. 2 seed)
*The winner of the Alabama vs. Rutgers/Notre Dame game will advance to face the winner of the matchup between No. 3 Texas Tech and No. 14 Montana State on Sunday, March 20
*This is Nate Oats' fifth NCAA Tournament appearance as a head coach, with the others coming in 2016, 2018 and 2019 at Buffalo, as well as the 2021 and 2022 seasons at Alabama
*This will mark the Tide's second appearance in San Diego's Aztec Arena, last appearing in 2006 as a No. 10 seed when UA defeated No. 7 Marquette (90-86) before falling to No. 2 UCLA (62-59)

It's kind of comical how Michigan avoids the play-in game and is matched up with one of the most questionable 6-seeds I can remember. The love for Juwan Howard is just confusing at this point.

They’re trying to keep him from hitting anyone else

I’m still pissed he won NCOY last year over Oats. It’s because ESPN and the Media loves to glorify the Fab5 and plus he was in the NBA a long time and won 2 titles with LeBron

2 of them (Rose and Webber) actually are media, and Webber does a lot of work for TNT. It's definitely rigged a bit for Michigan with how many Michigan people are in the media. Same goes for ND.

He took Gonzaga's Basketball program to the Elite Level. I think he would be a great hire.
