I just don't see the room for growth in his game or skillset into a NBA starter, but I'm a dumb CPA like you and not a talent eval guy so that is probably why

And exactly how many players improve as drastically as Herb Jones did? I said it before but I really doubt Holt is on the roster next year.
I mean, Herb never shot the 3 well here. I think Holt has the ability to be a 30% shooter with some work. Even if he ends up being the James Rojas of the backcourt, he’s still easily worth a roster spot. You gotta have guys who can come in and be tough.

Hard to win any game when youre not allowed to comtinue playing the same defense as first half. There was no lack of effort, officials decided to give pippen jr every call. I dont normally go there but its pathetic how 1 player gets catered to. Meanwhile ellis and shack both get mugged shooting 3s

I can’t personally grasp how he’s still mocked as a late 1st or early 2nd round guy. I think he’s older than Primo, who showed WAY more his freshman season and wasn’t mocked near as high until after the combine.

The top 10-15 recruits tend to enjoy a year of residual hype even if their freshman seasons are disappointing. Honestly he should probably strike while the iron is hot. He's a long term project and won't be anything resembling an NBA ready player until he's a junior or senior. If an NBA team is willing to take on that burden and pay him for it, more power to him.

Then beg for grant and avery back. 4 atarters with 4 fouls and one point... Fricking disgraceful to only be able to play hard defense for 30 mins then have youre aggressiveness compromised by shite officiating

Look, the season hasn't been perfect but I am glad we are in the NCAA tournament. Coach Oats will improve as well but I think he's done a good job this season without any PLAYER LEADERSHIP on this team.

Kentucky and AU didn’t even make the NIT last year (AU wouldn’t have even if they were eligible). This year has been infuriating, but let’s not go overboard here. We don’t have the mental toughness to overcome against a scrappy team, but we have talent and can definitely win a game or two in the tourney if things fall into place. That said, this feels like the team Collin Sexton played on where we barely win in RD1 and get curb stomped in RD2 by a 2 seed. That’s my expectations at this point, but it still won’t make it a completely disastrous year like KY/AU had last year. I’m just hoping we can rebound next year and compete for league championships and get a top 4 seed.

Holy shite, if he turns out to be the James Rojas of anything then I definitely don't want him back!

Season actually reminds me of the 2004 elite 8 team. Thought they were dead in water but they found something . I expected better this year but the program is in best shape its been in since the wimp era

I’m just tired of the year after year disappointment. Literally have had one great season in my 13 or so years of watching and it was during Covid and you had to sell an arm and a leg to even go watch them. I’m sick of it.

This is true. We’ll be fine in the long run. I love Oats, what he’s done for the program, and that we’re in the NCAAT a second straight season…I just hope he reflects on the issues we had this season and gets as much of it fixed as he can before next year…that starts with hitting the portal hard

I think Oats cleans house after the season. I only see Bediako, Gurley, and Miles coming back.

We just have no confidence anymore. Remember against Gonzaga when they cut our lead down to like 4 multiple times and we responded right back and stretched it out? We don’t have that confidence anymore.

If I’m Oats I just tell them to stay away from the facility until they meet up to watch the selection show Sunday and then Show up Monday with a clean slate ready to work

I also think our play style is built for Non-conference play more than conference play. Oats system is a shock the first time you see it……as long as we take care of the fricking ball

Cleaning house is not what you should be doing at this time in his career here. Horrible job this year by Oats.

Bruce Pearl cleaned house after a losing season and only kept 4 or 5 guys.

Last years team had 9 new guys on it and we won the SEC.
