This should end well…. and you can watch at 5 pm on the SEC Network:
Alabama Women’s Basketball, Texas A&M Square Off in Reed Arena
The University of Alabama women's basketball team will travel to Bryan-College Station, Texas, to meet Texas A&M Sunday, Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. CT in Reed Arena. The contest will be broadcast on SEC Network, with Paul Sunderland and Andrea Lloyd on the call.
The Crimson Tide is 13-11 this season, including 4-9 in the Southeastern Conference and 2-4 in SEC road games. The Tide will look for its second win over the Aggies in the 11-game, all-time series when the two teams square off in in the Lone Star State. Alabama's sole win in that series was Feb. 27, 2020, as the Tide upset the then-No. 12/14 Aggies, 76-63, in Bryan-College Station, Texas. It marked Alabama's second consecutive win over an Associated Press Top 15 team that season.

Pump that sunshine, George. It's obviously working
Not sure he’s pumping sunshine but he may be right. Probably speaks more to the program we’ve had than a real endorsement of this inconsistent team.
As for yesterday I wasn’t able to watch but it is a little disappointing that we couldn’t do better in sticking with Grady given that the other two backcourt guys for UK didn’t play.
Regardless, I wasn’t expecting to win it. We just need to take care of Vandy, Cocks and A&M and I think we are locked in at a #5. Beat LSU and win one in the tourney and probably a #4.

I hope your right about Gary & Miles but as of right now I just don't see it. Holt isn't going anywhere though.

one stat from the game at halftime showed points in the paint UK 18 and Bama 14
Halfway through the 2nd it showed 16 Bama and 28 to UK. So our team was not making long shots and not making baskets in the paint.
I guess they have out lawed the medium range jump shot in College BB.. count me as one that thinks this philosophy is flawed. Is there any team that wins at a high level consistently with the Oats Offensive Philosophy.

We won the SEC with that philosophy. Is that high level enough?

and yes we went on a roll with our guys making 3's. My point is that we dont shoot the 3 consistently enough to do that night in and night out to go on a roll like the NCAA. And how many games back to back have we shot 35-40% 3 point shots this year. Even those two games we won recently our percentage was low.
We need a tall Lanky kid from eastern Europe who can drain the outside shot

I know it gets said seemingly every page but even with a bad 3 % all year long, our offense is still the 11th most efficient offense in the country. That side of the ball wasn’t the problem last year and it’s not the problem this year. Our defense is pitiful and that’s why we’ve lost so many games.

I understand that everyone has an opinion but like Bryant said we won the SEC last year with this offensive philosophy. The problem this year is there's no Herb Jones, JP, Bruner, or Alex Reese. Three of those guys use to lose games just like we are now but they got TIRED of it. The PLAYERS on this team aren't TIRED of yet. When that happens you will see consistency.
THEY ALL BROUGHT IT DEFENSIVELY!

Gurley's two 10-ft jumpers in the paint late in the game won us a big one last week, and JQ and Shackelford both have nice 10-15 ft. shots in the paint. I think it makes the rim protector have to come out a couple of steps and allows our guards to get to the rim.
PS-If I was 7-feet tall, I'd damn sure learn how to shoot a little jump-hook, one of the easiest shots to acquire.

They generally play at a much slower pace, but Villanova has won a couple of national championships without taking many mid-range shots.
Also, we won the SEC last year.

Yep. Of our 10 losses I'd say 8 or 9 are due to inept defensive play.

That's a fact! DEFENSE & EFFORT!

If you are an Alabama basketball fan and you think our issue this year is offensive philosophy or execution then you either don't understand basketball or don't actually watch us play games.
I dunno any other way to say it at this point.
When we hold opponents to under 50% eFG% (national average) we are 11-4. When we give up > 50% we are 6-6.

What are the KenPom score predictions for our remaining 4 games?

I don't think Oats asks Gary/Holt/Miles to leave nor do I think they leave. That's a dangerous game to play. Recruits are watching.
Agree 100%. Would not be surprised to see Shack back for senior year either, and . With NIL, he can make money and get better exposure than in some remote place overseas. JD and Ellis are both 2nd round projections, JD 1st round in some, so I expect they leave. JQ will be 24 next year, so likely he will explore G League or overseas. I have not seen Tchikou the last two games in Coleman, so he may already be gone. Anybody else know? Hate to lose Ambrose Hilton, but he is not getting playing time. Having Bediako, Miles, Burnett, Holt, Gary back plus 5 new players gives us 10, so we have room for 3 transfers or 2 if Shack returns, likely an experienced point guard and a best player(s) available.

Sure would be nice if we could hit a homerun in the transfer portal like Bruce did. A few studs from there plus the talent coming in with this recruiting class could make for another good season.

I should also add it’d be nice for no torn ACLs and season ending injuries next year.

Houston at Wichita state going to Ot tied at 56. Been a fun game to watch. Houston had two chances to win at the end missed both and Wichita state didn’t miss a half court walk off by much.
