I really don’t know what Oats does or can do about about the shooting. The offense is working, THESE ARE WIDE arse OPEN LOOKS

The guys just need to get in the gym on their own time and shoot, shoot, shoot. Need Rojas or someone to step up and call a player's only shootaround/practice and just get everyone reps on game situation shots.

I think we should sacrifice a goat in the left corner of the floor at Coleman

The sad part is we would be 16-2 if we had even the slightest bit of mental toughness...

Even when we were lacking much interior presence.

Imagine if we even shot close to what we did last season at 3s?

Goat may not do it. Might need to sacrifice an Elephant.
The last few minutes of the game were unbelievable. How could you be so dumb.

Team is a work in progress, we gave them too much credence in the beginning.
They will come together eventually and hopefully be great by seasons end.

Yeah that’s the thing, a lot of those last night were open misses. Nothing you can do about that if you are the coach. You would think some of them would start dropping, especially at home.

I'm gonna chose to look at it from the glass half full approach - we almost literally cannot shoot any worse than we have, and we've lost 4 games over that stretch by a combined 13 points.

If the only thing that changes moving forward is shooting league average, we're a 15-3 (5-1) level team. That's much more encouraging to me than having structural issues during a bad stretch. We still have some of those, but literally just getting slightly better shooting immediately changes outcomes for us.

Doesn't mean we will improve, we could just be one of the 10 worst 3PT shooting teams in the country. I kind of doubt it, though.

Good news is the next two SHOULD be easy wins. Hopefully we can get some confidence and get this thing rolling because that’s a pretty tough stretch after Missouri and Georgia. You’d think we’d come out and just want to destroy Missouri after the way we played up there.

I dunno, we haven't had an easy win almost 2 months (Miami). I will believe it when I see it

Technically, but we were down double digits to Auburn and down damn near 20 to Missouri and trailed Tennessee basically the entire game before pulling it out, but if we shoot just a little better we would have a couple more wins at this point no doubt, and you have to feel at least a few of the shots will start dropping

Well, we had Gary out as much as days and Burnett out all year. At least they get Pinson back Eveerybody loses players.

Per EvanMiya, our most balanced lineup

Offensive PPP > 1.10
Defensive PPP < 0.90

PG - Quinerly
SG - Shackelford
SF - Ellis
PF - Miles
C - Bediako

- 63 offensive possessions - 1.17 PPP (1.20 Adjusted Efficiency)
- 62 defensive possessions - 0.89 PPP (0.80 Adjusted Efficiency)

That's what we thought going to Missouri. We tend to play down to the competition. I expect the Georgia game to be really tough.

Only talking about this game-not the teams' whole season.

Gary averages 8 ppg and 4 rb/game. We never had Burnett's points to lose this game. It's not the same. We were missing 8 points/game and they were missing a 14/game scorer and 11/game scorer. When the players got hurt, Gary had 0 points and Days had 5.

I mentioned where I thought we improved this game but to act like losing Days and Pinson didn't make a difference is ridiculous. The Eason kid had 26. Who knows what LSU would have had if Days and Eason were out there to guard the whole game.

Taking our averages, it would have been like us playing without Q and Keon last night. Of course, that would make a difference.

I'm not going to scroll back far enough to get into what I'm sure will be last night's melts. But, what was the word on Gary? I assumed he just got hit in the mouth or nose by the way they were looking at him before the commercial break. Was it actually his shoulder or something?

I know we've played rough out of the gate in conference play and we're looking for answers but this isn't a legitimate excuse. Yeah, I would love to have another healthy player using the scholarship sport but Burnett hasn't played a single minute for us since transferring. It's basically using JQ as an excuse when he didn't get his waiver.

I am very excited for him next season, Oats said last week (I think) that he's actually ahead of schedule and is shooting great.
