I truly do not understand why you care about JDs NBA draft prospects so much.
You’re right I totally brought it up out of thin air there 100% was nobody saying JD would be in the Afghani leagues or working in McDonalds if he tried to enter the NBA draft.

feel like you care more about arguing about his NBA draft ranking than you do about the current production he’s having for our team.
From now on I’ll personally consult you if I want to say something

Lol I know you do Chad, but we're averaging like a post a week, so I felt the need to do more effective marketing.

Yeah, I was just joking. Things are definitely slow on that front right now. It will pick back up eventually.

I don’t think you’re bringing it up from thin air, but everyone else is stating that he isn’t currently helping us win games that much, but you always go back to where he’ll go in the draft. We care what he’s going to do to help this team win BB games and recently that hasn’t been much.

He’s -8, +8, -6, and -11 in his last 4 games +/- wise. We’ve won all of those games except for one that we lost by 1. That +8 occurred in a game he also had 8 turnovers so you could say we were +8 in spite of him and not because of him. As well, two of those games he had the worst +/- on the team and the -11 happened in a total of 13 minutes in a game we won. I’m sure you know most or all of this, but he just hasn’t been that good lately.

I very much hope that changes, because I care about what he’s going to do to help our team win games, not what he’s going to get paid at the next level.

Truly couldn’t care less about the first part and want no part in the second, but I digress.

I know you have plenty of insightful things to say about the team and I know we all appreciate those opinions and your analysis. I’d just rather you bring those to the board than try to argue with just about every single person on here. That’s all. Makes it more fun for everyone

What did y’all think about the Bediako 3PA last night?

Dykes was hating on it pretty hard, but I was more than fine with it. He was wide open and it was a decent looking shot even though he missed.

Wasn’t my favorite based on the point in the game, but I know we’re trying to develop that part of his game, so not bad that he felt confident enough to hoist one in a big away game like that. If that part of his game ever develops, that’d be a major boon, so I’m here for it.

assuming Ala/Aub take care of business this weekend, what do you think the spread will be Tuesday? that's a tough one.

As of right now Torvik has it at Alabama -1.2 (Alabama 77-76).

Bama -16.0 @ Missouri
Bama -1.2 vs Auburn
Bama -0.4 @ Miss St
Bama -2.6 vs LSU
Bama -23.6 vs Missouri
Bama -15.0 @ Georgia

Not enough information for me to have much of an opinion. If he hits them in practice then he should feel free to let it fly in games if he has a good look, but since he's a freshman he doesn't need to take those shots if he has no chance to make them. Better to remain a mystery than prove you are zero threat to knock down an outside shot even if you're left wide open. But if he makes ~30% of them during practice then he should keep shooting them. He will eventually hit a couple in a row and suddenly he's got someone on him on the perimeter the rest of the season.

Also, the thought of a trailing transition 3 by Chuck gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

It honestly didn't look great. Pretty flat, and way off. But, his free throws look good, so he might end up being serviceable from outside. Hell, if Herb could do it, Charles can probably do it.

In Oats system, the big needs to hit some. Didn't have an issue with him taking it unlike Jimmy.

it was really flat which is odd because he gets good elevation on his free throws for a big.

I wonder what Oats said to him at the timeout when they came off the floor? I was wondering if it was about the shot or something else?

Hopefully just nerves with it being his first game attempt at a three.
