George was right with my post correction. Plenty much any road game from my youth involved Alabama being down early and often

I do miss Joe Dean Jr and Barry Booker calling games.

My favorite was in 2005 or 2006 - mid week game at Florida. One of their great teams and, of course, one of our teams that had backed themselves into a corner and HAD to win an extremely hard road game to feel good about the tournament (because we probably lost 50-46 to Ole Miss or something).

It was Valentines Day, big group of us are driving to Birmingham with our girlfriends (now all wives) for dinner. Listen to the 1st half and we are up at the break by like 17. Walk out to the bar after we sit down to eat (because this was pre-iPhone), like 10 minutes left in the game, we're tied . End up losing.

And absolutely nobody was surprised.

Found it!

Alabama Basketball Passes First SEC Road Test with 83-70 win at Florida

No. 1 Florida rebounds from 18 down to stop Alabama

Feb 14, 2007

the Gators overcame an 18-point deficit to beat the Crimson Tide (No. 25 AP) 76-67 on Wednesday night and extend the nation's longest winning streak to 17 games.

The Gators were down 22-4 early in the first half and 42-31 at the break.

The Tide (18-7, 5-6), which dropped to 1-5 on the road in conference play, shot 37 percent in the second half and seemed fatigued on defense as Florida made 14 of 22 shots.

"In the second half, I thought Florida enforced their will on us and that is why they are a great team," Alabama coach Mark Gottfried said.

Oh yeah. Started that game on like a 22-4 run.

That whole season was just Alabama Basketball. Started off like 13-1 and got up to like #5 in the country and then just collapsed and missed the tournament

Did not move even one spot in Kenpom or the NET. Yes, they have at least noted the change in record. I guess they will drop out of the Top 25 with a win over Baylor.

I don't get it: #1 in RPI, NonConf RPI, SOS, OOC SOS, #10 in ELO. No one has more Quad 1 wins 4, 2 of the losses were Q1, the other Q2. 7-3 Q1&2.

Have not played a team with a NET <124. 12 top 100, 3 top 10 wins, 9 top 100 wins.

Pretty sure we moved up 1-2 spots in KenPom. Could be wrong, though. We moved up in Torvik.

NET doesn't update until tomorrow.
