I get that Miller didn't do anything illegal, but if he had responded to Miles' text with "Nah, not bringing your gun to your drunk arse, man, you need to leave if you think someone's going to be shooting", then a 5 year old would still have their mother and Miles would still be playing ball.

Maybe, but no way of knowing that. I highly doubt Miles and his friend would’ve just been like “ok guess we should drop it then.”

Many in the media owe Brandon Miller an apology.

100% agree. They owe Brandon, Oats, several people, but they’ll never give it. They have no accountability. If the truth reveals how much they (media) indeed misjudged the situation, I hope we as fans refuse to let it go this time.

Perhaps more people (sheeple) consume media's garbage because it's mostly what's produced for them.

Like everything else, they produce what sells. Sure, they had to produce it to sell it, but if it didn't outsell non-sensationalized media, it would die out, rather than flourish. That's why Jerry Springer, Paul Finebaum, a few cable "news" channels, and even this site exist.

One we don't know the gun was loaded. The gun was loaded when Miles let his friends know of its existence.

You arent seriously suggesting that Miles kept a loaded magazine on him but left the gun in Miller's car, right?

quote:

I agree this is not a smart move by Miller but the outrage people are showing towards him and wanting the book thrown at him is a little over the top if you ask me and a little over the top considering the evidence. It's not a nothing burger but it's not what the national media is portraying and those that say his college career is over are just hunting for clicks or fans of other teams.

I agree with most of this. What he did was somewhere between astoundingly stupid and accessory to murder given the text he received, the fact that he was there and the fact that his car was part of the crime scene.

If he gets suspended he will have earned it.

I wish Nate Oats would go off Mike Gundy style defending Brandon Miller. It may be the only way some people will realize that it was not Brandon Millers gun. He simply returned Miles’ property back to him. He didn’t take part in the murder. Miles may have had a self defense case if he wouldn’t have lied to the cops. I hate the young lady lost her life but her boyfriend and Buzz were the two buttholes in this equation. It was reported Miles was trying to pull his buddy away but the guy couldn’t get over being threatened. This is a stupid situation and it couldn’t have come at a worse time for these young adults. A child is without a mother and two lives will be lost to the penitentiary system.

Did anyone look at the ncaa email for season ticket holders from UA?
They want you to order from every venue and then cancel what you don't want?
Am I reading this wrong?

Section Sunday is 3/12
Fulfillment day is 3/13

how do you cancel between that time period?

What am I missing?

Thanks!

You register for any site you’re willing to go to if alabama were to be sent there. If Alabama doesn’t go to that location, your selection is null and void.

The lady told me on the phone only null and void if you call and cancel. I specifically asked that question.

I wonder if she just got it wrong?

Yeah she’s got to be confused because they wouldn’t allocate tickets to UA unless we were at that site.

Assuming we got the same email, mine makes different references to saying “All tickets would only be for the session Alabama participates in”.

Imagining a world where Miller doesn't give Miles his gun back and Miles calls the cops on Miller and Miller gets arrested for stealing a teammates gun.

I just hope Brandon Miller sue all parties involved for dragging his name and image....ESPN, Yahoo, Clay Travis & whoever else. I would like to see a team of lawyers on his behalf letting people know that there will be a lawsuit coming for those who decided to ruin his name with lies and false narratives.

People asking questions like why this come out now? It's just coming out to the public that's all. The case went before the judge yesterday and all the evidence was presented. There's nothing else that will come out from the D.A. side.

I think people got to stop looking at this in a simple way. What if Brandon Miller had other texts from a woman telling him to come too the bar? The only thing people are looking at is the one from Miles. What if that text didn't influence him to come back?

Brandon Miller's evidence cleared him along with other witnesses. He told the truth about everything and that's a sign of good character. Brandon Miller has always shown great character and leadership since he's been here so I'm not going to let anybody tell me something different when his body of work is already proven. Did he have a bump in the road? Yes he did! Hasn't he proved he's a darn good guy? Yes he has.

My thoughts!

How does anyone know that a guy is going to use that gun that Miller brought him to kill someone. And it wasnt Miles show did the shooting either. Either way just a sad state of affairs

Imagine a world where we were 23-4 late in the season, on the verge of winning the conference regular season title and not having to sweat it out on the edge of the bubble. Wouldn’t that be nice?

Will never happen at Bama though.

If I'm listening to talk sports, it's Tide 100.9

Tide 100.9 and WYTK 93.9 noon-2:00 are my two sports stations. 93.9 has an app if you’re not from north Alabama. They gave a couple of high school segments (which are good), but the rest is all college football.
