Doesn't sound like anything was technically illegal. Absolutely sounds like some really poor judgement was used in not questioning some things.

Ultimately this will be a character issue NBA teams look hard at, so I think he may need to rehabilitate his image at Alabama for a couple seasons.

But, seriously, it’s pure idiocy for a superstar to be loaning firearms to anyone, much less one who’s been drinking and engaged in an argument at or outside a damn bar.

Miller's account of what preceded the shooting almost exactly matched what investigators gathered from video evidence and other witness testimony.

Best thing going for Miller is that he didn’t lie to investigators .

It’s a bad look, but technically it’s not against the law for me to bring you a gun unless you tell me you intend to shoot someone.

Seems to me Miller brought Mike’s the gun thinking it was for self defense. It’s dumb, but not a crime

Bad judgment by Miller in Miles having his gun in his car? Miles said "the heat is in the hat" meaning its still in the car, so the shooter got the gun out of Millers car. Miller didnt walk up and hand it to them.

I mean they have like double the Q1 wins of anyone else and no bad losses. It's not unreasonable.

It also doesn't change anything for us because Kansas will go to KC, a place we wouldn't have gone anyway.

If the committee were to put Kansas ahead of us as the #1 overall seed, I don't see how anyone could reasonably argue against it.

- Defending national champions
- Q1: 14-5 (Bama is 7-4)
- Q1+Q2: 18-5 (Bama is 14-4)
- vs. Current Top 25: 6-5 (Bama is 1-3)

When you look at those numbers, I don't know how we are even ahead of them now.

Now, the National Coach of the Year talk shouldn't be a comparison between Self and Oats.

Oats returned 3 guys in a 11-man rotation. Our Top 5 scorers are 4 freshman and a transfer, and that's with one Elite 8 and no Final Fours in school history to sell on the recruiting trail.

Self coaches the defending national champions, his 2nd. They were Top 5 preseason. Bama was 20th.

Kansas has been to the Final Four 16 times and a #1 seed 15 times while Bama has never accomplished either.

It's like asking who did the more impressive coaching job between Kirby Smart and Sonny Dykes.

If Miles texted Miller to bring his gun under implication of him possibly being under threat....at 1 AM after a night of drinking....then yea it's bad judgement to do that.

How is Miller supposed to control if someone with a legal firearm has it in his car?

I mean if he took the gun to miles knowing shite was going down, I feel like that’s something people routinely get prosecuted for

They were riding around together, its not like miller brought the gun to Miles from an apartment, he just drove over there to where they were since Miles had his gun in Millers car and the other guy got the gun out of Millers car and used it.

Miller is fortunate Alabama’s carry law went into effect on 1/1/23 or he could have easily been charged with a gun crime.

It definitely is. I’m guessing the only reason Miller didn’t get charged is there is technically no way they could prove he knew.

If you got a text from your friend saying he left his gun and your car and he needs it right away, you should probably ask why

Best case scenario is that Miller brought Miles his gun because he didn't want it in his car.

Not sure why this is so confusing to everyone.

It's too bad the shot that got Miles thug friend didn't catch him higher up from the shoulder.
That way it would have been an immediate eye for an eye.

Won’t affect his Alabama career, but I doubt Miller has heard the last of this. He’s about to be a multi-millionaire, and you know someone has been in that family’s ear about a civil suit.

Even more so. If you are a future lottery pick just simply don’t carry around your teammate’s gun. Very poor decision making by a lot of people led to a tragic outcome

Brandon Miller isn't charged for a reason because there's more to the story and a lot of folks already knew this but hey y'all keep throwing out these scenarios.

Not directed at you!!
