He brought Miles his gun. So during that time, he was carrying it around. Maybe not physically on his person, but at the very least in his car.

As you said in another post, Brandon isn’t charged, so there is more to the story for sure. But I’m still disappointed by, in my opinion with what I’ve read, his very poor decision making that night

Brandon Miller isn't charged for a reason because there's more to the story and a lot of folks already knew this but hey y'all keep throwing out these scenarios.

I completely understand that. But at very best, it was absolutely idiotic and was highly likely to get him in trouble or hurt

It speaks to a broader issue of kids being dragged down by their shitty friends

As a former UA student I have trouble grasping how many bad choices it requires to even be in a position where a drunk friend is texting you at 1 am to bring their friggin' gat, much less actually doing it.

The media is giving Bama shite on twitter.

Can they not read…investigators said Miller did nothing wrong. If they tell Oats Miller did nothing wrong what can Oats do? 1 guy was charged with a crime and Oats kicked him off the team

Well, Oats should have just said exactly that. Not "wrong place wrong time" which implies he was just randomly part of some natural disaster.

My guess:

Miles had a legal gun. It was left in Brandon's car. Miller gets a text that says, "hey bring my gun in case these fools start shooting." Miller doesn't really know what's happening. Miles' idiot friend kills someone.

The media would be giving any team that this happened on shite. Not much that can be done about that except ignore it. Fair or not, this incident will leave a stain on the success of the team in the public’s eye.

Bad judgment by Miller in Miles having his gun in his car?

"Miles contacted Miller and asked him to bring his gun to where they were, according to police."

Obviously Miller came to where they were and the gun was with him. Yes, that is bad judgment.

If the conversation was, "Hey, can you come pick me up?" and Miller does so and doesn't realize there's a gun in the car, it's different. But if he was explicitly asked to come back and bring the gun and then he did so, yeah, that's not good.

For the misleading headline

"Darius Miles asked Brandon Miller to bring gun used to kill Jamea Jonae Harris, police testify"

How is that misleading? It speaks to the facts.

It could be a scenario like that.

Listen, I am not in any way saying Brandon Miller is legally responsible for anything that happened. I don't know, and the people that do haven't charged him with anything to this point. However, it's possible to be an Alabama fan and still see that his judgment was less than top notch, if what was testified to is reality.

Oats should definitely apologize for his statement today but the rest is all overreacting bullshite by the media.

It's not fun but I can't sit here and act like today's revelations aren't newsworthy, because they clearly are.

I’m more into facts. Facts are 1 player associated with Alabama basketball was charged with a crime and he is no longer associated with the program and should be in jail for the rest of his life

Yea I don't want to deal with it either but it exists and it's very much newsworthy.
