I understand that.

If we played against those opponents we literally would give them fits though but I agree.

We still have so much POTENTIAL and we haven't fully tapped it yet because we still got a key piece of the puzzle out... NIMARI BURNETT!

I saw bleacher report had Noah Clowney going 14th in their mock draft.

That call was a game changer too.

Whomever told them it wasn’t reviewable should be fired, simple as that. Missing a call is going to happen. When you don’t know the rules and your job is to make sure the on the court officials follow the rules you shouldn’t have your job.

Did they review the one where devo davis tackled the guy and didn't get called for a flagrant foul?

Bunch of Arky apologists in here. Makes me sick.

Not only did they lose, but they lost at home ending the longest home winning streak in the country

The problem isn’t that the refs blew a call or messed up a review. They may have reviewed it and let it stand. It was iffy either way.

The problem is Birmingham told them the play wasn’t reviewable when the rules said in black and white it was reviewable. The SEC rules expert didn’t know the rules. That’s inexcusable.

I agree. I thought they reviewed it live? Guess not. They sure stopped the game for a long time.

Anyway I thought he lifted his foot in time for it not to be inside the cylinder.

All these pedestrian performances out of Gonzaga makes what they did to us in Birmingham absolutely crazy.

I’m thinking Gonzaga caught us at literally the perfect time. Our 2nd game after losing Nimari where we were still confused on defense without him and they had an all time shooting day.

Was really a perfect storm for them

The Loyola Marymount guy with the epic mullet and stache is now my favorite non-Alabama college basketball player.

Not even the worst call of the game...

LINK

He was 2 feet from the shooter. This, imo, might be the shittiest call I've ever seen.

going into the Mizz game does anyone else want to see Oats go with a shorter line up? And not in size but in who gets back up minutes?

Who deserves to see his minutes cut? I've had no issues with our rotations this season. It's tough to manage a deep bench but Oats has found a way.

Normally, I'd say "yes" but everyone seems to be playing well and it hasn't messed up the flow much, if any. I do think some of the big leads have allowed him to go deeper to get some guys more experience, or to try to get them going (like Welch). I would expect him to tighten it up a bit, if we're in a close game.

I think you'll see less Welch. From there, it'll depend on who's in foul trouble. Bradley took a lot of the minutes Nimari was getting. But Bradley isn't going to see the court less. He's gotten so damn good with the increased playing time and experience.

Yeah I think Burnett coming back means fewer minutes for both Griffen and Welch, but I take shorten the bench to mean removing certain players from the rotation unless it's late in a blowout. I'm not sure there is any sense in doing that with this team. There's no one on this roster who I see sitting at the scorers table waiting to check in and immediately get a sense of dread. Even our end of the bench guys have pretty well defined roles that they do well in.
