and we are still 3nd as a conference in teams in the NET top 50 with 6. Big 12 has 8 and the Big10 has 7. College basketball as a whole is down this year.

Good year for us to be good.

Yeah it’s down..Auburn, Kentucky, Arkansas, LSU..they just aren’t as good as they have been the last couple years

That's fine. Except Bama has played some pretty stout OOC games and came out just fine.

So, is having a team quit mid-season in year one of a new coaching staff a huge red flag under LSU's circumstances? Normally I'd say no, but like half of LSU's roster came there with McMahon from Murray State and they look like they have absolutely zero fricks to give.

Also, Jimmy Dykes talking about national player of the year candidates mentions Tshiebwe and not Miller.

Oh yeah. I’m not saying it reflects on us. We’ve proven we are one of the best 2-3 teams in the country. But the league is down compared to the last couple of years.

Uconn lost again. I don;t think I have ever seen a team go from #1 in late December to unranked in mid January before.

They haven't had any real injuries to speak of either.

They're in freefall. They look absolutely nothing like the team that kicked our arse and they haven't had any injuries or anything. It makes no sense.

Watch everyone forget about them and the enter the NCAAT as a 7 seed and play like they did to start the season and make it to the final 4

That would be hilarious. They have the talent to win it all. Not sure how they get the train back on the tracks at this point though.

I don't even want to think about that. Thankfully the committee does not like early round rematches, but getting them in the 2nd round as a 1 or 2 seed would be terrifying.

Mwani Wilkinson is LSU best player and he's out if I'm not mistaken. Whenever he comes back they'll get better.

Teams discovered that UConn doesn't have a real PG and have adjusted accordingly. During this bad streak they're having they have more turnovers than assists.

I think we beat them if we played them again.

Could be wrong but I believe we get them and Gonzaga if we played them again.

He's averaging 2.6 points in 13 minutes this season. That's not moving the needle for that team.

So, whoever is writing for the USA today page called the Roll Tide Wire is definitely not a Bama basketball fan.

quote:

Alabama basketball is rolling through in-conference play. The Crimson Tide is currently 16-2 overall and 6-0 in the SEC. With a projected No. 1 seed in the upcoming NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.

The team is playing as a cohesive unit with one goal: to continue winning.

The goal certainly isn’t hard to achieve with star players on the court like Brandon Miller, Noah Gurley and Noah Clowney.

Uhh... Yeah. Our star player... Noah Gurley.

Kidding aside, he's done a much better job not turning the ball over. I still don't know how he made so many threes at Furman. But his defense has been solid, and he's been a good rebounder for us.
