what's the logic behind Ala having to play a higher seed than Tenn or Vandy in their opening round game?

Help me here.

Uh because Alabama gets a double bye, while tenn and Vandy get only one bye.

Damn some of you are really strictly football only

Because in the round Tennessee and Vandy play those teams, we're given an automatic win via a bye.

Since the South Carolina game (out of 361 D1 teams)

3-1 record

3PT Shooting : 21.6% (#356)
3PT Defense : 44.8% (#340)

Honestly, the fact that we went 3-1 over that stretch and were nearly 4-0 is incredible.
And somehow the only game we lost in that stretch was the only one where an opponent shot less than 43% from the perimeter.

Still concerned that we haven't shown up at all in the first half of a game but once in the last 7 outings. Hope rest is the key because if not I'm going to need some medication to get through even the first round NCAA game.

Im telling y’all that the numbers line up for us going on a 9 game heater. It’s pretty clear at this point

@ESPNLunardi’s latest bracket (updated at 8 pm last night) has Alabama as the second #1 seed playing in the Louisville regional.

I'd take that 8/9 game in a heartbeat.

As long as we go 16/33 from 3 again against Maryland in a R32 game, I'm in.

That's just a great bracket overall. I could actually see either Creighton or Kentucky coming out of that for the elite 8. And Iowa St is definitely on 5/12 upset alert (great home team, mediocre everywhere what).

I see Tennessee's 9th loss of the season dropped them all the way to *checks notes*, nope, still at #3 in the NET.

First round may not be a walk though. Won 17 of last 18 and Pember is a player.

Shows that the NET is definitely not the standard to use.

I don't think there is anyway we play UNC Asheville. They're not gonna be 2nd to last on the S-Curve (I don't even think they'll be a 16 seed).

That would be good. Would be a tough first round.

I mean, they did just have 2 last minute games with USC Upstate and Campbell. If we play a game that turns into a close one with UNCA then we're liable to play a close game vs a bunch of 15/16 line teams.

If we're in close game last 5 minutes in round 1 vs anyone it's not a good sign.

Oh, I know. Just basing it off of our recent performance. Would like to get a first game cake walk to build some confidence for that second round game. Why does Lunardi's bracket have Houston playing the other 16 seed play in winner instead of us? Doesn't he have us at the 2nd number 1 seed right now?

It shouldn't matter, but I'd honestly rather face a cold 16 seed that hasn't played in nearly two weeks than one coming off a play-in win.
