I agree I think Bradley needs to be replaced with Burnett. Burnett has been off but he’s our best defender and he spaces the floor.
My issue is the lack of movement without the ball. Pringle is the only big who knows how to roll to the basket. He should play more minutes. I’d like to see Pringle and Clowney in the game at the same time more often.
We have the talent to beat any team in the country but we have to make adjustments in our offensive game. We make it easy on teams to defend us because they know we want run any back door cuts. That would put a stop to teams sticking on us watching the ball handler drive into to traffic and make a mistake.
We have the personnel to win, will we make the changes that’s up to the team and coaching staff.

Q
Welch
Miller
Clowney
Pringle
This is the lineup I’d like to see a little of.
I think Welch is looking a lot better and I would’ve like to have seen him get a few more minutes today, especially with some of the other guards struggling

I actually wouldn’t mind if Kansas won out and was the top overall seed, might take a little of the pressure off and give us a chip on our shoulder at the same time.

Yea it was frustrating but we have to shoot better moving forward. I really believe we will.
26-5 gentlemen. That was a fun ride.
Let's hope there's some more magic left.
If Miller gets the call and the and-one at 4 minutes, it's a whole different ending. That call was not great but A&M played well and deserved the W.
Looking forward to next week. Go Gators!

So if we do see UT on Saturday, it’ll be their 3rd game in a row without their true PG. I’d like our chances.

what I said in my long post after the AU game is still true today regarding Sears and Bradley.
Now Bradley did hit 1 today, but he is still hesitating on 99% of possessions where he is open.
Sears' lack of athleticism is also hurting us a bit on defense. Guys like Wade Taylor are able to exploit this by getting by him consistently. This also depends on how the other teams' scheme is, obviously. But that's why Oats took Sears out of the game against Arkansas at the end, in favor of Bradley. Bradley is taller, quicker, and more explosive....by a LOT.
Miller needs to be more aggressive about finding his shot behind the 3 pt line. Even if it means shooting from deeper. I'm not claiming that I was an amazing player, but I was a VERY good shooter in high-school, even from 6-10 ft from behind the 3 pt line I was over 30%. Because sometimes it was necessary with teams that would aggressively defend said 3 pt line. I regularly practiced it. When I coached I would have guys practice it too.
Regarding all of the missing. I believe we are tired and have lost eye discipline when shooting. Form doesn't matter a lick if your eyes are not in the right place when you start your shot. Yes, you can make shots with a hand in your face, but you need to mentally guage the shot at the start of your release.
When I was coaching kids, 99% of the time kids with good form, who still missed a lot, were missing because of no eye discipline.
Whole team is a bit tired. This 5 days, and the days after the SEC Tourney, are huge.
I do also believe that Q should be starting right now. I think Gurley should get a few more minutes. His experience helps the other guys on the floor a lot in tough moments.
okay, epistle over.

Sears is an excellent D1 basketball player, but he is NOT a D1 athlete. He has 100% figured out how he needs to play to maximize what he has. But he is a step slow, and when he isn't hitting shots he is a liability.
Bradley is also a liability for the exact opposite. He is a high end D1 athlete, but his skill set is miniscule on offense. Teams are helping off of Bradley, especially with Miller, daring him to punish them, and he can't because he can't shoot.

No it wouldn't.
A 1 seed is a 1 seed. There's nothing that "top overall seed" marks a team as any more in the spotlight, IMO.

I don't even care if we are a #2 at this point, just put us in Bham. Yes, I know our record there. Don't care. Let's go!

Sears is the barometer.
When Sears scores 12 or more Bama is 18-0 and wins by almost 20 per game.
When Sears scores fewer than a dozen Bama is 7-5 with a margin of victory at 3 ppg.

Kansas being overall #1 is not that unreasonable.
