We’re not gonna be able to go far if we can’t break this shooting slump. These are not bad looks, but we’re 1-12 from 3.

I’m accustomed to getting errbody’s best shot (and lucky breaks) in football but this phenomenon in b-ball is new to me.

I kinda hate that I knew this performance was coming, based on how we’ve played lately and the fatigue of this news story and having to claw back/fight for 40+ mins every game.
But here we are
We need to get a nice break, freshen up, refocus, and try and come out and re-establish the identity that got this team to a potential #1 overall seed and SEC regular season champs

Guys, this isn’t rocket science. If a team is having a hard time shooting 3s, you pack the defense in the lane and leave guys wide open for 3. It’s practically a zone defense. You have to hit the 3s to get them out of it. We don’t have a motion offense, very little back screens, or sets with lots of off ball movement. Oats recruits and coaches to having shooters. If you can’t make wide open 3s, you will lose to a good defensive team like A&M who is getting to the rim on offense at will.

It's just amazing how every single shooter has been cold as hell in the last few games. You always expect to see somebody have an off game, maybe even a couple guys. But the reason we were so tough early was because someone always stepped up. You never knew he was going to have a 15 plus point game coming off the bench. But now, we are just ice cold. Even our confidence looks like shite, with everything we are forcing. We look like a team trying to make a desperate comeback at the start of games. Ball rotation is weak. And that's crucial for our offense to run full steam.

I’m not blaming anything on the refs anytime your team comes out the same way four or five games in a row that’s on COACHING. No changes to the starting lineup no changes in philosophy. Just trot out there and do what worked in January. It’s not January anymore OATS.
