Auburn loses to Yale in the first round, Alabama goes to the Final Four, Arkansas hires Cal, Oats tells UK to pound sand, UK settles for Pearl, Auburn basketball returns to irrelevance.

Best month in program history?

Sources say Donovan has no interest

I don’t think Bruce Leaves Auburn. He has been promised that Steven will be the HC once he retires and I don’t think he would want to mess that up by taking another job.

I agree. I think at this point in his career, he has a handful of seasons left and he can set his son up with the job when he retires. If he leaves for UK, Auburn would just go in a different direction.

I'm not the biggest Pearl guy, and think he's become a tad bit overrated, but the dude is a legend at Auburn. Not sure he would sacrifice that legacy for like three seasons at UK.

I'm still a little perplexed that Drew went to Lexington and almost immediately afterwards shot them down. Sure, could just be to ramp up the pressure to 11 on Baylor, but also makes me wonder if he got to close to the sun and realized in todays college basketball world it's just not worth it to deal with these people

Tells me it was a low ball offer. Low ball like they didn't really want him, but they would've settled for him had he agreed to said low ball offer.

No, by all accounts Drew has been their AD'S pick for a long time.

He doesn't get to spend money without the BOT saying "OK" though. I'm not sure Drew is a flashy enough hire for KY.

This is starting to have all the ingredients for a panicky Billy Gillispie hire.

Still think end up with Donovan. He’ll be done with the NBA season next week.
