I think you're right but I imagine that his lawyer and the district attorney's office are in a staring contest and he will eventually plead out of the trial to a lesser non-capital punishment felony with 10 years or less of prison time (time served and good behavior likely gets him out in 5).

I don't think he did anything wrong and the decease's partner is more culpable in what happened than Miles but Sauron's Eye is fixed on him. This is why you leave the firearm at home when you're drinking in public. If you feel like you need one while out drinking then you need to go drink somewhere else. University Blvd's Strip is not 8 Mile.

If he gets anything more than time served, it will be a travesty of justice.

It is such a risk to go to trial for Darius though...wrong jury or DA does a good enough job of binding what his lawyer can even present after the "combat" on admissibility. They can wave the bloody shirt of a dead mother relentlessly irrespective of facts.

I got to imagine he's not walking out of the courts a free man. If he loses the trial, he's getting asphyxiated with nitrogen like a dog being put down.

I would love to reading an article from Cecil Hurt today. He was Bama through and through and through thick and thin. R.I.P. Cecil and Roll Tide!

One thing I liked was that Bama waited for Bacot to dribble before doubling. He was not nearly as effective when we did that.

Our gameplan was great and it became obvious once Cadeau and Trimble remembered they can't shoot. Neither Bacot nor Davis ever got comfortable. Ryan is the one who really hurt us but that's to be expected from any preppy looking white kid playing against us in the tournament.

The Tuscaloosa DA is definitely after him. The "self-defense" hearing for Miles was a complete travesty because it was clear by the end of it that the boyfriend is being shielded by the DA. They would not support forcing him to testify. Seems obvious that they know their case falls apart if there is any focus on the boyfriend and his friends whatsoever. Those thug gang-bangers will not play well in open court and if they aren't required to testify it seems hard to imagine Miles getting a fair trial. Seems clear he would win an appeal on that alone.

Well it hasn't really left. Dude is still in jail for no reason at the moment.

No reason to keep discussing itt while the season is still ongoing though so I'll move on.

Oh I don't care if people talk about it, just wondering. I just haven't been keeping up with that whole debacle over the last several months. Thanks for the fill in.

Watching Braves/Phillies opening day game, and the Phillies have a guy with last name Rojas. My son says “Dad, didn’t we have a Rojas on the Braves?” Nope, that was the Bama Bball player I used to yell at the TV about a couple years ago…hahaha.

What game was it that he hit the 3 that sealed a huge win for us? My how far we’ve come!!

If we win Saturday, it will be the first final four in the history of Alabama. Think about that folks, we are here for our chance. So many teams, so many years and we might be the ones to see it. Crazy stuff people.
