Nate Oats said Nick Pringle is dealing with a heel bruise that flared up during last night's win over North Carolina.

Oh man. Pringle and are have so much in common!

I feel like a heel bruise can keep me out of commission for weeks.

Honest Question..where is the outrage about Terrance Shannon? Why isn’t it the same as Miller considering Shannon was actually charged with a crime and Miller wasnt

God it’s nice to watch games where teams are fighting for a spot you’ve already secured. It’s a weird kinda relaxing feeling just sitting back and watching other fans panic.

NCST would hate to play Alabama. I'd hate for us to play them because our tempo may give that center a heart attack.

over 97% of the 351 teams are done. That's crazy.

we are here for our chance. So many teams, so many years

I'm an old man and well remember the 76 team w/Leon Douglas and Amp Murray losing to an undefeated Indiana coached by Bobby Knight - that Bama team was the best I've ever seen and Indiana said they were the best team they played that season - and the 87 team w/McKey, Ansley, and Gottfried won the SEC (16-2), SEC tournament, then ran into a hot Providence in the sweet 16 - Bama had the talent to win a title that year too.

This year's team doesn't have the raw talent those teams had but they have enough talent plus a mental toughness of playing well late in close games - that's coaching - and I expect that Oats-inspired mental toughness to carry Bama past Clemson.

The Alabama news people hate the University of Alabama.

That's your answer.

Also like to point out, toward the end of the game. Oats had nelson bring the ball up after a made basket to bait the defense.

This was the plan on having nelson bring the ball up 90 feet.
If a big plays defense on him, you call the pick and roll so you can get the switch. Which is exactly what happened. He got a smaller player on him.

If a small guy plays defense on him you don't call the pick and roll and just play iso.

I think people are too worried about the defense. They just gotta get hot at the right time.

Teams that have made Final 4 the last 5 years with defense that weren’t elite:

According to Torvik:

2018 Loyola Chicago 48th
2019 Auburn 48th
2021 UCLA 76th
2022 North Carolina 57th
2023 Miami 136th

bumping this post.

My ex works there, won some awards...

Thankfully I no longer feel like I gotta support them, I did even though I didn't. After while incident last year, it's been well highlighted in how alabama basketball is approached in this state.

Frick them, let's roll tide
