So happy to see the Seniors go out with a a W on Senior Day. Yesterday was rough for most of the game. Near nightmare scenario. Gotta admit I didn’t always keep the faith. Some guys who struggled during most of the game prove clutch down the stretch. Get some rest, then on to the tournament!

Mississippi State did everything humanly possible to play their way out of the tournament... Really surprised to see them in and shocked to see them not in a play in game.

I think State has to win Thursday. I don’t see any way they get in on a five game losing streak.

So it appears likely we will draw Florida first game. There are no good draws really in the top 8 teams in this conference, but UF bothers me. When they interviewed their coach (Golden) at the first timeout of our road game against them, you could certainly read the fact that he was quite comfortable with the belief that they are just better than us. From a top to bottom roster standpoint, they probably are, but they laid some pretty critical and puzzling eggs. I would love to see us find our shooting touch for this game even if it means we have to have our ceremonial loss to UK following that.

Alabama should be super motivated to beat Florida, Kentucky and hopefully Tennessee. Florida and Kentucky are about to play Alabama with Wrightsell back healthy. Game changer

And now we’re here with Bama with 19 overall wins and 11 in conference with 4 left to play. 2 of them are almost assuredly Ws, so that’s 21. The other 2 are coinflips, but winnable and would result in 23. Make me your king. MAKE ME YOUR GOD

Well they certainly made me sweat yesterday, but my prediction held lol.

Gonna have to improve the defense or neither tournament run is gonna last longer than our first below avg shooting night.

Right now Ken Pom has us at #2 offensively and #102 defensively. We’re a Mike Leach era Texas Tech football team right now.

Cant really argue that. Wouldn't mind seeing us tweak our defensive philosophy a little prior to the post season. I know Nate wants to speed up teams on both sides of the floor, but I wish we would pack it in just a little bit on defense. Our high ball pressure has tended to be a recipe for disaster all season against quality guards.

Do we have good enough depth to have a shift change every five minutes. This would allow for more rest thus letting them be more aggressive on D?

Not with primary ball handlers. We have enough shooters but not enough guys to get them open shots.

^^^ This... Don't think we have any choice but to play Sears and Estrada 30-35 minutes a game together. Without both being on the floor defenses can basically just shift all their focus on to one lone creator and suffocate our offense.

Seems pretty accurate. There is a really good team inside the makeup of our team it’s just much harder to get it to the right spot quick enough and long enough in a game.

Alabama's Rylan Griffen (calf) is hopeful to play in Friday's SEC Tournament game, but it won't be determined until later in the week, per Nate Oats.

Griffen DNP yesterday against Arkansas.

Averages 11.1 PPG.
