Nate Oats said Latrell Wrightsell Jr is still day-to-day, hasn't practiced yet but the team will practice today in Lexington so there's another chance before Saturday.

This makes me think he won’t play. Hope I’m wrong.

He said Wague reached out and apologized to Congdon on social media.

"If the [SEC] didn't suspend him, we would have."

I think the seeding and game are right on that chart but the dates are still using 2023.

Games will start March 13th.

I think this is Nate's best job yet. To replace so many players and the entire assistant coaching staff, and leading the SEC standings with five games left, is impressive as hell.

goodness. LSU is the last team I want to play at this moment. They are sneaky good and on a roll right now

I'd be satisfied with that bracket setup

It won't shake out like this, because Kentucky is on the opposite side from us. I think there's some kind of rule that prohibits that from happening.

Honestly it doesn't seem like that long ago that we would've been at the bottom left of that chart along with State and Ole Miss.

Ahh, the days of waiting for the shot clock to run down and watching Retin Obasohan or Avery Jr. hurtle themselves down the lane, hoping to get fouled.

Something to note when filling out your brackets in a few weeks. For 8 years in a row the national champion has ranked 8th or better per KenPom on February 23rd.

Here’s your current KenPom Top 8:

1 Houston
2 Purdue
3 UConn
4 Arizona
5 Auburn
6 Alabama
7 Tennessee
8 Duke

Avery Jr. was tough to watch and I have no malice towards him. It's weird, because in the episode of the office where they see Stanley dribble for the first time in utter dismay... I couldn't watch Avery Jr without seeing that image.

Senior year Retin on the other hand... I would put on any modern or past roster. He could ball and his athleticism was off the charts for his size..

Alabama has a hellacious end to the regular season coming up, so I don't really want to think about the tourney yet.

HOWEVER

Alabama is the type of team that could make a run with the right bracket. They really don't want to catch a team that is good on offense with quality bigs.

You just aren't sophisticated enough as a basketball fan to understand the tactical advantage gained when an undersized guard posts up 35 feet from the basket. The possibilities are endless. He could get trapped and be forced into calling a timeout. He could get trapped and turn the ball over. He could get trapped, pick up his dribble, and desperately implore a teammate to come save him while swinging his elbows. So many ways it could go.
