The Friday game is crucial since a win pokes a hole in the invincibility mystique of the Vols and sets us up to steal the series if we can find another win. If we get our arse handed to us in a 9-1 type of game, we’ll see what Bama is made of. Even if you get swept but fight hard and lose 5-4 type games, it’s certainly not an optimal outcome but you can still say we can compete with anyone and build on it.

We swept an SEC series against a ranked team? I usually only follow these threads and don't really watch the games because I don't enjoy baseball, but that doesn't seem like a typical weekend for us. Is that a sign of things to come or is Ole Miss on a downward spiral?

Our boys are playing good ball right now. Theyve won 8 of the last 9 games, but have a massive serries with Tennessee looming. It would be so awes5 if we could somehow win this series a d shut those Vol fans up.

The Myers kid that closed today, I hope we get to see him more down the stretch. He continues to look better and better out of the bullpen.

Decent crowd for a Tuesday 3 pm game. Five guys got a chance to pitch (Hess, Holman, Hoopes, Furtado and Myers). Hodo got a shot at DH and was replaced with Dio for the last time through the line up (neither did much with their opportunity but I was glad to see Hodo play. His time is coming). Hamiter was in right field and hit well. Kinda thought he might put Hayslip out there but I’m not sure what his injury status is. Thought he might rest Tamez but he played and played well. Strong steady wind blowing in so no home runs. All in all, good to get another midweek win. We need them all.
