Not at all. He’s probably smart enough to know that their win probability was a lot higher and therefore he was not needed.

Vaughn was willing to win this game at all cost. If Riley Quick went to Vaughn and said he wanted to pitch today, he would’ve been on the mound.

I guess I’ll be the one to say it, but it was a chicken$h!t move by Riley Quick to op out of pitching today. Would it have mattered? I don’t know. He’s not a team player. If Quick truly wanted to pitch today, he would’ve pitched.

They didn’t tamper him - come on, man. He made it known that he wanted to get back home. That was no secret.
Bama has two hits this game. Two. Not many games have been won with two hits.

Yet still acts like he just won the World Series at the end of every inning.

I lose respect for this coaching staff every time I see Evan Sleight in the line-up. Bench his a$$!!

How much longer does Vaughn leave Sleight in the line up? He’s been awful. We cant hit with runners on base. Davis’ ego has been a lot bigger than his performances.
The timing was just coincidental and has little to nothing to do with the new coach. It’s been known for a while that Shelton was transferring at the end of the year. Apparently, he wasn’t quite about his intentions to leave.
In hindsight, it’s so easy to say that JJ should’ve stayed with Moza but…
Moza was at 59 pitches. His season high to that point was 36.
At least three maybe four of the balls hit off of him would’ve been home runs at majority of the ballparks we play at. So they were hitting him hard. The first pitch of the 11th inning the batter hit one over the fence that was just foul.
I don’t think there is a coach in college baseball that doesn’t go to their closer in that position. You absolutely have too. If JJ loses that game because he left Moza in, one would have to question his ability to coach baseball.

Davis was up and throwing the 2 innings prior to going in. I agree, he should’ve went in at the start of the inning. But he definitely wasn’t rushed in. His velo was higher tonight than it was last night. Florida did a good job of seeing his pitches and hitting him.
I hate it for him. He’s a tremendously talented kid who’s handled himself well.

Just for the sake of conversation - Who would guys like to see Bama hire as the next head BB coach?
I would love to see the interim title lifted from JJ. The players all really like and respect him. He genuinely cares about his players and he’s just a solid guy. Unless we win the final two series and host a regional - which is possible - then I can’t see UA keeping him because of his ties with Bo. IMO.
Will Coggin, is a young guy that’s been in some really successful SEC programs and has worked with some really good head coaches. This kid has a bright future.
Scott Berry, because why would you not want Scott Berry?

Why would they leave a pitcher in the game after a two out walk and then hitting a batter.

A LOT of dropped balls. Sure some of the passes have been less than perfect but still a lot of catchable passes that have been dropped.
Great place to watch a baseball game.

Rumors just started swirling that Grayson Hitt is out for the year with a torn UCL.

Yelp. Strain in his elbow. Should miss a few games.
Myers retires seven batters in a row and our offense can’t produce a single run. That’s frustrating.
Why Bo didn’t score Ed Johnson on that Pickney single is beyond me.
I’m still sick over losing that first game. I can’t even make myself watch the second one. Coaching cost us that one.

Leaving a pitcher out there for an inning too long — typical Bo. Riley looked good but you had your closer already up and throwing why not go to him.
We have plenty of depth in the bullpen.
