If there was a war, I’m pretty sure you would be a “friendly fire” casualty. Nobody is putting up with your “Sky is falling”, Negative Nancy, schtick.

My gosh, son!

On top of that there's chatter about our Head Coach could bolt for greener pastures

All this shite about DeBoer leaving is stupid. All linked to one article saying Penn State should target DeBoer on an opinion piece.

He will be back next year win or lose

This is the type of game where field goals matter. Unfortunately, our kicker is arse and he's playing in a stadium that is kryptonite for our kickers.

I’ll feel more confident with an Oklahoma & Miami loss today for starters.

Michigan is the one that needs to lose imo. Well them and BYU in the Big x championship game. Wouldn't hurt to have some teams in front of us lose to get some wiggle room. Oregon has a tough game at Washington. Oklahoma has LSU at home, but I agree, it would be nice for them to drop another game.

Agree which is why I think this game is so big. Win the SECCG and we are building momentum and filling up the program prestige tank, but we’re already in the CFP and on a positive trajectory regardless. Win the Iron Bowl and we lock up a spot in the CFP, DeBoer gets an extension, PSU goes away and regardless of what happens from there we’re locking up a great recruiting class and entering portal season with major momentum and positive energy. Lose the Iron Bowl and the momentum is gone, we have to listen to an offseason of major griping and all the “is Bama dead” garbage. Absolute worst case DeBoer goes to PSU and we have to chase down a coach after a month of coaching chaos. We need to win tonight and I believe we will. Gonna find out what the team is made of today.

Agree but having to play UGA again is BS. There needs to be a rule added that if the other team in SEC Champ game is a team you have lost to that you forfeit your spot to the next deserving team. There is a good possibility we would need to beat UGA 3 TIMES to win a natty. That should never happen and it statistically almost an impossible mountain to climb.

Georgia playing way better now, that will be an extremely hard game to win in Atlanta.

What?

If we win.... unless it's by some insane method like overtime, 4th and forever, etc.... it's just another rivalry game where the favorite won.

If anything, our mission is to MAKE this game fade into the rest of them, our goals should always be far higher than just beating Auburn.

Deboer isn’t leaving with a loss to the barn.

I don't think he's leaving, and I don't want him to leave. But a loss to Auburn might just cause that. His seat would be scalding hot going into next year. If it's true that Penn State is interested, he might just bolt. He certainly would have more job security for the next few years.

Penn State literally just fired James Franklin eight months after nearly making it to the national championship game. To say that their program is any less pressure than Alabama is foolish and laughable.

What's laughable and foolish is to suggest that I said that.

Of course there's huge pressure at Penn State. But anyone with a football IQ north of zero knows that (a) it's easier to win in the B1G than the SEC, and especially (b) that there would be SIGNIFICANTLY less pressure on DeBoer in year 1 at Penn State than there would be on him in year 3 at Alabama, coming off missing a 12 team playoff in both of his years and being eliminated by a bad Auburn team this year.

He goes to Penn State and he's still employed at the end of 2027 and probably 2028. If he loses to Auburn and doesn't turn it around next year, he probably gets fired from Alabama.

It’s a big game, but winning still doesn’t guarantee us the playoffs. With a loss, it would be a big strike against Deboer, but I’ll wait till he has a couple of seasons with his recruits before I think he needs to go. No one available has proven to be any better, and I don’t want to become like Auburn and Florida where we have 3-year tryouts for G5 coaches.

You guys have to stop expecting the worst.

I expect them to come out ready to play some mistake free ball. HOWEVER, That hasn't been the norm... So excuse us if some of us don't have high expectations for this staff having this team looking like a seccg champ and playoff contender.

I works be MORE impressed if they come out ready to go and looking sharp.

Hopefully it doesn't come into play but bama does alot of things that could allow an inferior team to pull an upset in their house: turnovers, no running game, awful place kicking, lapses on kick coverage.
