Post was cathartic.

An amateur could see we were going nowhere with Milroe from day 1

It was disappointing that DeBoer took the cowardly path, and didn't make a change at QB for the second half of the Oklahoma game

We would have been better off, and probably would have made the playoff if we simply had a QB competition and let the LANK crew transfer. We definitely would be in a much better position for next season had we gone another direction, and the DeBoer offense would have been installed this season to the benefit of the entire program moving forward. Now we're yet another rebuild season away from contending more than likely

Nah, I wouldn't worry over it. Everybody rebuilds nowadays, and the transfer glory hole reduces the growing pains.

Alabama's gonna rock out with its cock out next year.

10-4 and apologies for poking at you the way I did.

Sometimes you just need to vent.

I was thinking about this. Had we started TY, we might have lost the same number of games - BUT - we would be light-years ahead of the game next season because we would have an experienced QB at the helm. As it stands, we lost for nothing

Imagine for a moment the first time you saw Jalen Milroe play QB for the UofA, you knew without any doubt in your mind that he would never be a title contending QB.

Never? He won an SEC championship and he led us to the playoffs last year where we were one defensive stop and/or a few bad snaps away from making the championship game; in addition, he’s undefeated against UGA and was a big reason they didn’t three-peat…

Love him or not, by definition, he was a title contending QB…

Or you could look at it this way. Maybe DeBoer was doing that for the benefit of Ty. By that point in the season, we were who we were; why put Ty in a losing situation that’s more than likely to hurt his development than help it.

It’s not cowardly to let your two year starting, SEC title winning captain grind it out. You don’t need anyone down the bench losing confidence because they’re trying to bail out your “Heisman candidate” starter.

Damn man. I’m not hoping Milroe stays but it seems like you really needed it. Happy for you.

This is a recurring trend, unfortunately.

Just change the names and the position.

Milroe pretty much confirmed he's declaring in his comments about next season's QB room.

I read that and thought the exact same thing. Man I hope you are right.

Heard these atrocious stats yesterday.
2024 Milroe vs SEC competition
5 TD passes.
10 picks.
2 pick 6's. With zero effort in making the tackle or a simple push out of bounds vs Oklahoma.
Btw, 4 SEC games after the Tennessee game, 0 TD's passes.
Good guy. However, simply a player placed at the wrong position.

To be fair, Hollywood did drop one vs barn.

And to be fair, many more TD passes missed.
Receivers running wide open for TD's.
However, for some reason the QB either over threw or didn't bother to look their way.

My thoughts.

I think Milroe is playing the bowl game to improve draft stock plus he will declare for the draft. Go do the Scouting Combine and Pro Day

Agree... He plays well vs a Michigan defense that shut down the Ohio State offense, that would improve his draft stock.
