If you had told me the defense would be holding teams to 21 points after watching the second half of Georgia and Vanderbilt game, I would have figured someone else had taken over play calling The defense has steadily improved in spite of all of the youth but now our offense can’t get out of their own way. I really wanted Jalen to be the guy because he’s hard not to love as an individual but it almost feels like the coaches have given up on the season if we just continue to allow the same personnel to make the same mistakes over and over. He’s averaging 2 TO a game since second half of Georgia. Many of these TO are not due to pressure. The OL has performed well enough to win the last three games.

Keon Sabb is “down for awhile” per KDB a moment ago.

I can’t disagree. They took their lumps but got better.

Hubbard played well and honestly after the first game of the season Saab hasn’t been overly impressive.

Bingo. He's shown little. #9 is going to be a player in due time.

This is the first time Bama hasn't had a Non offensive TD in the first 7 games since... you guessed it. 2007.

Given the youth of the defense, we needed to have an elite offense to contend this season.

I’ve not been disappointed with the defense outside of Vanderbilt. Even the 2nd half against UGA, they forced a bunch of 4th down plays which typically would have been punts.

I thought the run defense had improved, but they allowed 214 yards on the ground Saturday. The secondary got burned over and over, but luckily Nico was overthrowing.

Still have a lot of receivers running free behind our DB's. Just a couple of those hit and I'm not so sure they recover.

They seem to have improved but they’ve faced subpar QB’s the last couple weeks.

They are still not great but they are good enough to win if Milroe isn’t god awful. Which he has been the last 2 weeks

Statistically both UF and Arkansas held Nico to fewer yards, passer rating, and ypp than Bama’s defense did. Tennessee also had more yards, points (in regulation), and a higher YPP vs Alabama than they did both those previous 2 defenses.

They deserve credit for those TOs but how much of their improved performance was because of Tennessee being a below average offense?

How many times did their receivers have a step on our defensive backs. A good quarterback for them would have scored at least three more touchdowns.

Three weeks. He had three turnovers against Vanderbilt. The defense was so bad in that game that people seemingly miss how awful Milroe was in that game as well.

And as bad as we’ve been, it’s probably going to get worse now that we’re trying to piece together a secondary with flour paste and chicken wire.

I saw King Mack get thrown into the fire Saturday night and he just wasn’t ready. Whiffed on the UT QB on that long scramble of his down inside the 10. Mack was the one who had a piece of him in the backfield and let him break free. He also got beat deep a couple of times. I’m not faulting the kid, he’s not ready to be out there yet, but he had to be anyway. Gonna be a lot of that the next couple of weeks.
I don’t know how we stop Brady Cook from picking us apart throwing to Burden and Weese. Putting him on his arse a few times would help, but we have been rather inconsistent at pressuring the QB. Vegas has installed Bama as a 2 TD favorite. They are smoking some good shite.

It's like saying "Almost about to" as in:

Wife: I thought you said you were going to the store?

Me: I'm Almost about to.

Last Saturday, Bama’s defense had two INTs and one fumble recovery. Getting the ball back for your offense three times should NORMALLY dramatically increase your chances of winning.
