I’m really talking about the offense. Does it seem to anyone else like this offense is lacking the necessary chemistry?
Something just feels off about this unit, and I think there needs to be some changes in the depth chart. You’ve got a lot of guys with similar ability.

The Oline is a mess. Idk if we have our best 5 out there or not, but they really need to come together.

The combination of Metchie, Williams, and Bolden just isn’t it. We’ve got tons of talent at this position, and I think we need a better starting 3. Between Williams, Metchie, Hall, Bolden, Holden, Brooks, and Earle, who are our best 3?
I think Hall needs to be out there. I think Metchie needs to be out there. I think Williams needs to be out there. Those are our best, and they need to work on their timing.

We need to get Billingsley more involved. Latu is a great TE, but Billingsley is right there with him - probably a faster guy.

The running back rotation is a mess. I don’t have an issue with Brian Robinson, but Trey Sanders is probably our best back right now. Plus whatever happened to Camar Wheaton? Did that guy fall off a cliff? Is he redshirting? We haven’t had a dominant back emerge, and this guy was generating some buzz in camp. Wth happened?

I think we need a better depth chart, and we need to stick with it so this unit can develop better timing and chemistry. That’s my take

They’ve played two games against two teams that they didn’t have to work overly hard to beat. I think they’ll be fine and gel more as they keep playing.

think when we get to SEC play you will see less of a rotation among WR and RB. They will stick with the hot hand.

I understand Wheaton is banged up per NS

I understand we aren’t a perfect team right now, but this post reads like we have a team that’ll be fighting for bowl eligibility.

I hear ya man! The only thing I will say is sometimes all the fans see is raw ability. They may not notice that a receiver with great ability may not be willing to block or a rb may not understand protections or blitz pickups. I'm not saying that is absolutely the case but you just have to trust the coaches. You know they have reasons and it will probably change throughout the season. I feel ya, just throwing other possibilities out there.

Don’t be ridiculous. 10 wins is the floor for this team. The question is always how far can we go. Can we beat Georgia? Can we beat Auburn? Can we beat Ole Miss? Can we beat Oklahoma? I mean these are the real questions, and right now I don’t have much confidence in this team beating tough top 10 teams. I haven’t seen a single skill player emerge as a guy we could lean on if the shite hit the fan, and that’s concerning.

Something just feels off about this unit, and I think there needs to be some changes in the depth chart. You’ve got a lot of guys with similar ability.

Let me highlight this real quick: This is young and inexperienced unit on Offense. We had so many turnovers on offense. You have to keep that in mind. It'll take them a while to gel. We've been told over and over not to have high expectations similar to last year.

The Oline is a mess. Idk if we have our best 5 out there or not, but they really need to come together.

Again, high turnovers on offense. We've had this issue before. 2018? remember? It'll take them few games to get better.

The combination of Metchie, Williams, and Bolden just isn’t it. We’ve got tons of talent at this position, and I think we need a better starting 3. Between Williams, Metchie, Hall, Bolden, Holden, Brooks, and Earle, who are our best 3?

Did you not watch the game yesterday? The best players were on the field. Holden saw some snaps. Brooks and Hall haven't been on field for a reason. You have to be able to run the routes right, and be willing to block. If you can't block, you won't be on the field. Bolden was okay, But Young missed several open guys yesterday. The WR/QB wasn't the issue yesterday. It was the OL protection.

quote:

We need to get Billingsley more involved. Latu is a great TE, but Billingsley is right there with him - probably a faster guy.
Billingsley is still in doghouse. He has to work his way up. Latu did fine yesterday. Again issue is with OL protection.

I dont' think RB rotation is a mess. Saban is trying to get guys reps at the RB, and no, Robinson get the job done. He's clearly the RB1 for the year. I do expect Sanders/McCellan to spilt carries for rest of year. Wheaton is hurt. That's why you haven't seen him.

Make sure you tell Saban that tomorrow.

No, it reads like we have a team that will be fighting to make the playoffs.

I don't know about rotations and chemistry and all that. But I sure as hell heard Saban's postgame PC.

Georgia- yes. They have D, but have no offense.
Auburn- Yes. Bo Nix improved, but still shitty QB.
Oklahoma- Yes. Easy answer.
Ole miss- Yes, Great offense, but shitty D.
TAMU- Their QB is hurt, and their backup QB sucks.
Florida- a mess at their QB situation. Neither is good.

Okay Karen, I feel like on Offense, Young and Metchie are the guy we can lend on. Metchie proved that. Williams is showing he can be relied on. On Defense, we have Too too, young, DJ, Jobe, Harris.. they are the one that's stepping up.

I feel like your post is full of bullshite right now... I will remember to bump this post in three weeks.

Exactly. I’m not confident this team will make the playoffs at this point.
Our offense has yet to find consistency. We haven’t had a star player on offense emerge outside of Bryce.
It seems like every year we have “a guy”.
Do we have a single skill guy who will be drafted first round on offense? Probably Williams? Maybe Metchie? That might be it. And Williams is a transfer

It appears Nick is finding it difficult to get certain players to put Team before Them. (offensive side of the ball)

You aren't wrong but lots of new faces, new starter at qb, basically all new playmaker, new oline mix needs to develop and new play caller.

Was always going to take some time to gel. Let's see what happens over the next month

Yes, if anyone can make this work it’s Saban. Let’s hope they can get something going and develop an identity

So far, yes. The talent is masking it a bit, but not much has come easy for them yet despite playing two inferior opponents. But it's only two games. If we're still asking these questions two weeks from now then it's a problem.

Slade Bolden is jamming up the wr and Special Teams all by himself. He is slow, he has questionable hands, and he definitely has ball security issues. Slade will continue to fumble if left out there, and eventually it will cost the team.

Chris Owens at RT was the moment I knew this OL was going to take a big step back this year.

Brian Robinson CAN NOT CATCH. Really can't have a starting RB in our offense with bricks for hands.

CNS playing 31 late into a beatdown is yet another example he has his flaws. For fricks sake a possible first pick of the NFL draft out there getting cut by mcdoofus state Al Bundy future women's shoes salesman unbelievable- with a dozen 5 star olbs dying for game reps...

Williams throwing a punch on the field ? Yeah we got team discipline/buy in issues

2 games - 2 starting olbs out again... in-fvcken-credible

Maybe some posters think Saban just talks out of his arse during PCs. Maybe they think he's a Karen. We're often told that Saban sometimes speaks to his players through the media. Well if that's true, yesterday he pretty clearly said that some weren't listening Wednesday.

When Saban starts talking about things like accountability and reckoning and cutting playing time, get ready for some changes.
