From what I saw players left the sideline to go on the field. However it was 4th down so players would have been doing that anyway. What was the determining factor on throwing the flag?

Female ref got grazed and fell down, so she threw the flag.

I feel confident in saying that a male ref doesn’t come close to throwing a flag there.

I was afraid that James Smith was going to get an excessive celebration penalty for his flip/roll after the play. We can't get out of our own way sometimes.

Grazed, barely touched and ran into the coach herself

I hate to be that guy but: football is a testosterone filled gladiator sport played by men. It should be officiated by men and men only. Just my opinion.

No reason you should hate to be the guy stating the obvious. Don't let anyone make you feel ashamed for holding beliefs that were universal until about five seconds ago and the majority of people still share.

This is why women shouldn't drive...guy is in the right lane, moves over into far right lane, female driver moves into his lane without looking, they crash, blames crash on male driver.

Don’t, they suck at every sport they play, so they infiltrate ours by becoming refs or commentators. How can a woman give a true accordance of a game she never played? It’s their way of chipping away at something men enjoy. When that didn’t help, they brought Taylor swift in for reinforcements.

Also….she was on the sideline. What a stupid flag. I think she just got embarrassed and wanted payback. Nobody touched her….she literally tripped and face planted.

Female refs are extremely insecure and are itching to show everyone how "tough" they are.

99 times out of 100 a male ref would have overlooked what happened as a normal part of football, sideline celebrating a big play, you see it a lot.

They could technically call that penalty way more frequently than they do but it's overlooked because it's kind of lame and if it's not intentional or egregious it's overlooked.

Ms. No-Non Sense wanted to show the world how in charge she was though.

I’m not a chauvinist in any way. But women should not be officiating football games at any level. I’ve never known a woman to play a three technique on defense or on the offensive line. They don’t understand the passion that players play with and emotions can boil over. To tell it like it is, it’s DEI stuff. That’s the truth. And it’s tragic because it’s ruining every facet of our society.

Same thing happened in the Sugar Bowl. A ref running into a player/coach like that is an automatic penalty regardless of what y'all think. Oh and the Sugar Bowl ref was male so make sure y'all keep that same energy you had for the female ref in our game.

Big difference. The play was over already in our game and she got touched in the celebration. If you look close at the video she fell because she was clumsy and tripped over the yard marker no one knocked her down.We got hosed,. In the Sugar Bowl the ref was trailing an ongoing play.

Even that was borderline,.he was running out of the white himself for some of it.

Exactly. Ours was after a TD.
Watch any game and the teams never get flagged after a score. Kirby Smart also said you normally get a warning before a 15 yard penalty.

Ours was after a 3rd down stop of Michigan. It was 4th down and they would have had to punt.
