I don't see how this year is any different except it will be a home game, and we have a new DC who we frankly don't know about yet.

Just from my eye our secondary is really good. I think texas will score some but it will be a low scoring affair for them and we will get after their QB. Turner and Braswell are freaking good.

Edit- I hope we have the right QB lol

Blake Sims. Lane and Coop made him.

Absolutely asinine.

I thought Blake Sims was going to be but he managed to improve greatly over the offseason. No reason to trash him before the season even starts

Only fun if we make the playoffs?

Might need to reevaluate your life. Enjoy it for what it is

The interior DL needs to show out in this game. We have got to do a much better job of affecting Ewers this year compared to last year. Not just sacking him, but quickly disrupting the pocket and speeding up the rate he has to go through his progressions.

There was something about our defense (Golding) last year... it is like everyone busted us in the first quarter before he could figure out what to do. I rewatched the KSU Sugar Bowl game and was so frustrated with Golding playing so soft on defense that 1st qtr until we put the anaconda squeeze on them and chocked them out. We have to make Texas go three and out that first possession or two

He literally has nothing else better to do than to troll this board. What a pathetic loser.

I have rewatched the A&M game a few times, and come to these conclusions:

If Milroe can protect the ball and show some moderate improvement at reading the defense, we will be okay offensively.

Milroe received very little coaching last year; I would prefer not to revisit BOB. Let’s see him in some games before some decide to blame him for games that haven’t even been played yet.

A good coach will use their personnel’s strengths; that’s what we will see this year. A return to a physical brand of football. Milroe will not be asked to do things out of his comfort zone at this stage in his development.

Everyone has the right to their opinion, but some on this board are tremendously overreacting when we have not yet seen whether Milroe has improved with some actual coaching during the offseason.
Let’s support our team and coach. I am pulling heavily for the Tide this year, as I do every year.

You said you hated the 2021 team because they disappointed you with the way they played.

And I stand by that. But what the hell does that have to do with Jalen Milroe?

Milroe had 6 quarters as a "starter" - half of Arkansas and all of TAMU.

He was 16-28 passing for 176 yards, 4 TDs, and 1 INT. He also ran it 23 times for 172 yards and a TD.

He was pretty productive. Way better than Blake Barnett or Cooper Bateman.

I think Steele will have the right guys in the right place to pressure the hell out of Ewers all night.

I hope to see a very effective Bama run game get established early in the game to take the pressure off our QB.

Whether it's true or false, does it matter? If our offensive philosophy is to put Milroe out there and sling it would be the same as putting Mac Jones out there and running the read option.
