Starting to get concerned with lack of action in the portal with OL and DL guys

I know it’s early but I haven’t seen a lot of news about offensive and defensive line prospects visiting. No, not freaking out but I sure hope CKD has a plan to sign 4-5 guys on both sides of the ball from the portal and not crumbs either (no guys who were 3rd team DEs at schools like Temple or Utah State). Need guys who will start from Day One or at least play a lot AND be productive.
Good OL and DL guys in the portal are already committing. I just hope we don’t left out in the cold.

33% of the players in college football are currently in the portal.
We've got plenty of time to do some due diligence and make sure we get the right guys.

This is a valid concern. If Cortney Morgan is good at his job he should have been constantly evaluating players/keeping an eye on other teams lines throughout the year and shouldn’t be caught flat footed.

All I know is we got holes everywhere at the LOS on both sides of the ball. On defense we need linemen and linebackers. Badly

Y'all just need to realize that our lines won't be great under this staff. I'm sorry... But I haven't seen anything to make me think different.

The Michigan center is Barely 6'1 260.

Nobody really "eats, sleeps, breaths Alabama football" anymore. You certainly can't get anyone out of the portal to do that. They're mercenaries.

I wouldn’t say mercenaries. But they are professional athletes that are looking to go to the NFL. They want good film in tape and they want to start. Great news is we have tons of room to play, going against some of the best competition in college football, and have a chance to be seen on tv. For those reasons they want to shine.

Everyone on this board complained about the OL and DL all year long. So now, when there is a purge going on, the same people bitch about that. If you want something different you need to rid yourself of what’s not worked.
