Yea I don't know why LSU would be scared of a rematch. I mean, they could lose, but that game wasn't some fluke.

I walked out of BDS in 2011 pissed off because I knew we were the better team. LSU was good but deep down they knew they dodged a bullet. This year is different. I imagine they’d love to strap it up against us today if they could. If we played them 10 times, I’m not confident we beat them 5 times.

Exactly. I had confidence back then we'd come out at a level that nobody else in college football could match in those big games.

I absolutely do not have that feeling anymore. Not even close.

No they didn't. We gifted them 4 scores. If we just don't fumble on the first drive, or don't fumble a punt, or don't throw a pick to end the half, or don't get a substitution penalty that negates a Burrow interception...

None of those things are things LSU did. The only thing they could have partial credit for is Tua's interception.

I'm not sure we wouldn't make many of those mistakes and others if we were to have a rematch.

Exactly. They weren't out of character for this team at all.

Yeah. Think back to the 2015 Ole Miss game. A game where we got in a hole and fought our way to back only to run out of time. That game had a bunch of “WTF” moments that I don’t think anyone could duplicate with 10,000 computer simulations. That was uncharacteristic of our team at the time.

Yeah, you can't just write them off as silly mistakes when they have been our identity this year.

My point was obviously waaaaaayyyyy over your head. We have had guys starting the last two years who would never have seen the field on teams with those guys you allude to...Kareem, Dre, Javy, Ha-Ha, Minkah, Eddie, Marlon, Cyrus Jones, Robert Lester, Levi Wallace.

So yeah, someone is going to have to fricking prove to me that we've been recruiting at an elite level in the secondary the last three years. Because I'd really like to believe that Nick Saban still knows how to coach DBs.

By definition, a team that outplays another for 60 minutes doesn't give the winning team a bunch of points.

I thought it was a good game. LSU was too talented to provide so many opportunities: red zone fumble, INT, critical penalties, poor kicking, botched punt snap, busted coverages, etc.

But, I thought Bama played hard. Very proud of the adjustments and competitiveness they showed in the second half. Could easily have folded at 20 pts down. Reminded me a bit of the OU sugar bowl a few years ago with the fight to keep getting back in the game.

Hats off to Coach O and Burrow. Well earned win.

We have had quite a few injuries in the secondary. There are definitely holes there.

We started a sophomore, a junior, and three seniors last night.

I don't think it is experience. It seems like communication between each other and between the DBs and the front 7 is inconsistent. They often seem like they are on different pages.

Evident on the TD pass with 2 wide open, uncovered LSU receivers.

Hopefully a learning year for the front 7. Will be very strong team going forward. I did like the pass rush though. Lewis and Jennings were getting after it.

It’s not over my head bro . Do you not think Diggs, Surtain, HArrison, McKinney , JAD, Jobe, etc we’re not highly recruited ?? They may not be playing well . You can say we missed on Evals if you want but so did colleges all across tHE US, cause everybody wanted them . You don’t get 1 and 2 ranked classes by having a bunch of scrubs

I wouldn't call it gifting, but I understand your point.
But, don't act like LSU didn't "gift" Alabama, too.
Waddle's punt return was nearly stopped before it started when the LSU gunner tried to rip his head off (uncalled penalty, I may add).
Burrow's fumble/interception was a gift, although we couldn't take immediate advantage of.
Ohio State will pose serious problems for LSU, especially if they get Chase young back. He can disrupt, a la Derrick brown (reminding you that Auburn only allowed 23 points to LSU) and their offense is just a potent as Alabama's.

Yeah so that means they outplayed so. They came ready to play and we didn’t in the first half. If the scenario was the exact opposite I doubt you’d be saying the same thing about them.

Some of us around here are old enough to actually remember Tyler Love, "bro".

You tell me who from those guys in the NFL that you think those three seniors that started last night are as good as.

Colleges all across the US don't have playbooks more complex than the Oakland Raiders. Sure, maybe they're hellacious athletes. But you'd damn well better be able to coach them up when they get here.

Always love reading or hearing this. Without those "fans," Alabama football is Ole Miss. Those "fans" are what helps keep Alabama flush with cash from merchandise sales and media coverage. Dirt poor "fans" made up a lot of Bear Bryant's teams over the years and propelled Alabama football to what it became.

For the record, notice how none of us are clinging to bad officiating as an excuse today. The refs were clownish at times (Waddle facemask) but we aren’t sitting here like LSU fans have been for 8 years blaming it all on some grand conspiracy.
