you're winning lots of games, only to bail and trash the home team at the first hint of adversity. I'm glad the team has more chest than that. Glad they didn't entirely quit in the 2nd quarter the way some "fans" did.

Bad thing about winning so much is you have riff raff jumping on the bandwagon.

Agree. Granted, the odds of getting an onsides kick aren't good, but I'm convinced we'd have won the game if we had. We'd have had about 1:20 and the ball near midfield.

You have to remember that some of the posters you are talking about may not be much older than the players, if at all.

Said it last night, some of them didn’t go through the “Mike era” and it seriously shows. At some point, coaching/player turnover and injuries were going to cost us. I think this is a turning point and we play lights out the rest of the year. Either way, Roll Tide.

That’s why I called out those folks. Rats abandoning ship. We can still get in the playoff. It’s not over yet.

Guilty dog barks first so here I go....I thought we might pull it out but I was definitely critical of our QB and I think our D IS ATROCIOUS. I really didn't observe any quitters in the thread though.

Who shows " lack of character" when you point out obvious shortcomings?
Hell, we all bitch when we beat Tennessee by 19 points.
Call me what you want, but this team came in to the game last night like they were no where near ready to play. And it woefully showed.

and Boz, I didn't see until this morning your request to keep all comments in the game thread. I only logged on to this board in the 2nd quarter, after your request. Had I seen that before I would not have posted new threads about the game outside the game thread.

I have learned to stay out of the game threads but I think I could probably take a guess at who a couple of them are. Folks are ready to fire coaches already too. Never fails.

It’s all good. I just try to keep the thoughts in game. Once it’s over cut loose. I just didn’t want to have so many threads we couldn’t keep control.

With all due respect you can't have this many bad defensive players starting for you and expect to make the playoffs. 5,7,21,8,35,and 36 are average at best. Without a doubt this is the worst Bama defense since 2007. it is going to be interesting to see what Nick does at the end of the season as far as his defensive staff.

I rarely ever log on to this board during a game but did yesterday.

I didn't comment on it, but I would be pretty stoked if Pruitt came back for D.C.

yeah. This defense just isn't very good. An inexperienced DC and so many freshmen don't make for a championship caliber D.

Happens with every fan base after every loss.
When it gets to the point you don't care if your team loses, you've reached the bottom.

If we do get a 4th spot the idea is score with no mercy. Can’t count on much after that.

Pruitt is going to have UT bowling this year. He’s safe there for at least another season.

but that's not even close to the same thing as quitting on or trashing the home team. There are plenty of examples, but it serves no purpose to post them.

We have guys on this defense...and I'm talking about veterans, not the young guys forced into action because of injuries...who never would have seen the field anytime in the last 12 years. The same was true last year.

So have we been missing in evaluations and recruiting, or are we not coaching them adequately when they get here? We have guys repeatedly getting caught in busted coverages or out of position. Have we recruited guys who may be terrific athletes but can't grasp a complicated playbook? I mentioned previously that Rolando McClain said our defensive playbook was much more complicated than the Oakland Raiders.

And more important, his team actually looks like it's improving from week to week. Guarantano even came off the bench last night in the second half to win a game.
