A year after leaving Bama?

Scott Cochran leaves Georgia football coaching staff

quote:

A Georgia assistant coach is not with the program, at least for the time being. Dawgs247 has confirmed that special teams coach Scott Cochran is currently not on staff due to personal reasons. No official announcement has been made by UGA, but Dawgs247 has confirmed via independent sources. The Athletic was the first to report. The long-time Alabama strength and conditioning coordinator was hired by Kirby Smart Smart to lead the special teams prior to last season.

It seems like he didn’t leave on great terms from us, and it didn’t appear that he gave it his best in the last year or two before his departure. Nevertheless the guy is first and foremost human and gave us a decade of undeniably hard work. I hope if something rough is going on in his life he can get right and move past it.

Hopefully Scott/family can find a good resolution to whatever problems they're facing.

All the ankles and ACLs in the Georgia program are breathing a sigh of relief.

Scott Cochran away from Georgia to ‘prioritize his mental health and well-being’

Georgia special teams coordinator Scott Cochran is currently away from the football program with his return unknown to “prioritize his mental health and well-being.”

The Athletic first reported that Cochran was away from the football program as it started fall camp. After multiple reports of Cochran’s absence, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart issued the following statement, “Coach Cochran is currently dealing with health issues and is taking time to prioritize his mental health and well-being. We fully support him as he takes this time to focus on his well-being.”

I wish him well and hope he makes a speedy recovery.

No offense, but him leaving was undeniably a good thing for the Alabama program, despite Kirby trying to act like he got one over on us. Maybe it will turn into a good thing for Coach Cochran as well, as a catalyst to get him to a good place mentally.

Kirby has lost control.

He probably told Cochran to GTFO so he could have 'champ on the field.

Seeing as my joke about the vaccination commerical went over like a lead balloon, here is a rumor from the Georgia board on the situation:

quote:

I’ve heard from a friend of mine who’s pretty connected that he’s in a lockdown rehab facility in Connecticut. I don’t know much about the significance of the location if true. Anyone know if he has a connection up there or is there some “best of the best” rehab facility in that area?

Adderall appears to be the culprit.

ETA: Speaking of the commercial joke, I didn't just pull that out of my arse. Y'all don't remember the H1N1 commercial he did?

So you're telling us you're enrolled at Columbia? Is that your story?
