Indeed. I'm done with it. It's like conversing with a brick wall.

CW, you and a few other people are convinced you have trolls on the board. Do you even know what a troll is? This has nothing to do with post count or trolling. Its just a simple difference of opinion and you can't maturely handle it. So you create drama and diversion because it doesn't fit what you want to hear. If you would just leave it at "we agree to disagree", it would have all been settled by now.

I'm going to respond to this but then I'm done with it. Nobody is creating drama but you. I see differing opinions on this site all the time and I've never tried to force someone to change their mind or only say what I want to hear.

You made a bold statement that Saban was running the program into the ground and needed to retire or be let go if he didn't replace Golding. Several people, myself included, questioned that statement and asked who did you think would be a better option than Saban? You repeatedly dodged the question and resorted to personal attacks.

You called people immature, childish, stalkers, small minded, etc. I don't know if you're a troll, an alter, or just someone who likes stirring things up. And I don't really care. I hope you find the attention you're looking for. But it won't be from me.

Saban just loves the guy for some reason and it’ll take someone hiring him away for us to get a new DC. We’re stuck with him.

Well he is certainly not going to get him a job by criticizing him. Saban doesn’t fire his coaches. He helps them find other jobs. You can’t help him by criticizing his defenses. BoB was gone regardless of how good the offense was this season.

I’ve never been a 3rd and Golding fan and hope he’s replaced, preferably with Pruitt, but if we can just get a good offensive coordinator , and if the line and receivers develop, I think we will contend for titles again.

He's done a very good job with the personnel that we have,

So did Saban throw the players under the bus? Is he saying that the players just haven't been good enough, that Golding has done the best he could do with inferior personnel?

Sure seems like it.

You are the drama..you and a few other just can't handle a different opinion. No its you and you alone with the wisdom.

Probably just a coincidence that the people saying retarded things like "it's time for Saban to go" have usernames nobody recognizes. I'm sure you'll all be here cheering during the 8-4, 9-3 years of whoever comes in after Saban.

As usual, you are assuming and going too far because you can't differentiate between feelings and facts. I will not entertain your questions because frankly I don't have to. I have already answered it in the best way I could but you could not understand. My statements stand without your BS interrogation and interpretation. You have also completely ignored my compliments for Saban. I hope you do stop stalking me because we think completely different and are never going to agree because I am above your maturity level. You obviously have never taken a debate class and logic is not your specialty.

Yeah that tends to be what happens when the team goes off the rails. This team was supposed to be a super team that would run the table. They turned out to be a super dud.

As far as moving on from Saban, we're not at that point yet, but it seems to be moving in that direction. This is the lowest point the program has been at since Saban took over, and it has a lot to do with what's going on around the country.

You say that nobody could do as good a job as Saban? Well we arguably have the most talented team in the nation and we've had 5 games decided on the last play. Auburn might make it 6. That's not a good sign.

Saban is coming off more and more like an old man who just doesn't have enough energy anymore.

Saban is a legend, and should be treated as a legend. We can't let him go yet, but if next season looks worse than this one, we'll need to start the process of moving on.

I agree with the poster that asked about who you'd replace him with. Who is there that you think would do a better job?

If Alabama fired Saban (not going to happen) he could pretty much pick his job, and it's an excellent bet that team would be better than Alabama within a couple of years.

eta that Auburn thought they were going to improve when they fired Malzahn, who obviously isn't nearly as good a coach as Saban. Look where that got them.

So who would you hire? Nobody yet has answered that question, which is a valid one in my opinion.

So who is better currently? No one as of now, which is why we don't have an answer. My thoughts earlier were only preliminary. Now let Saban continue on in this more passive setting and it will become clearer.

Based off his interviews the last few years, it appears coach is on a spiritual Journey as well and I admit I like his softer approach toward everbody. It's just not who he was when Alabama hired him and is now reflecting year to year in the players. It's not like he's bad or anything, just his goals appear to have changed.

I miss beating the snot out of everyone and feeling confident before big games.I just wish coach would clean house especially Pete and S&C coach.

That's the real question. Who better replaces Saban. All coaches/ teams have ups and downs. Compare their resumes for the last 5 years!!

As others have said, it's a hard question to answer, but that doesn't mean there isn't an answer. There are 4-6 coaches id take right now over Saban, but they're already at elite programs. I might even take Kiffin over Saban right now.

We've only won 1 title in the past 5 seasons, and we don't look set up to win one next year either. The dominance is over.

Brian Kelly just came in year 1 and beat Saban who had a Heisman winning QB. Lane Kiffin took us to the wire. Huepel scorched us. Kirby would crush us.

To pretend like nobody could outdo Saban is ludicrous at this point - ESPECIALLY when you look to the future. Saban is getting older. Other teams are setting themselves up for the next 5-10 years. We're not positioning ourselves for the future with Saban. We're hanging onto a dynasty that everyone has caught up to, and are perhaps surpassing with young, energetic staffs.

Kiffin might be going to Auburn, and that would spell major trouble for us. We need to stop living in the past. Saban isn't 60. He's 71. It's not 2009. It's 2022 and we're getting passed up.
