Can any of you imagine that happening to Kristen Saban?

To be fair, they were probably more scared of Kristen

Well ain't that interesting. Sounds like a perfect environment for lockerroom bullshite. I'm sick of NIL already. I guess college football really is done.

Didn’t happen? I suppose you can think that way but if it isn’t so, why did KK hit the portal immediately and not wait for the season to end? And why did his NIL agency drop him like a hot rock today with no explanation given? And why has the same story been posted by multiple sources on multiple platforms? Stick your head in the sand all you want to but just because you don’t want to believe it doesn’t make it untrue.

I don't think Bond left due to stats. the guy we replaced him with (Bernard) has more catches and yards. He just went for the money.

As for Milro. I really don't think he plans to stay in college. He isn't getting better. In fact he's regressing. It's possible he could do a Hurts and transfer to another system or just go pro. Hurts is doing well in the pro's perhaps Jalen is better suited to a real pro environment. We shall see. I don't see him being on the team next year.

Whatever happened this year DeBore has one chance after this season to make this team his own. If he's going to get fired and have his good career trashed. he needs to go down fighting and doing it his way. Not some mixed up bag of dysfunction which is what he has now. If that means getting rid of players or letting them leave then so be it. I'd rather start 2025 with freshman if those freshman would just shut their pie holes and play as a team.

Amen to that! I’d rather lose out than to have entitled disrespectful players on the team!

In my memory, 17 points is Bama's biggest comeback against Auburn. That was in 1998. Zow started that game and stayed in. I'm not sure when you're referring to.

I haven't looked into this story because frankly it seems like someone's barely disguised fetish. Is the suggestion that he transferred because he didn't get a favorable response to his dick pic or that he sent it because he was already fed up and it was just harassment? The second option I guess is somewhat in the realm of the possible, though disgusting. The first one is just farcical.

Either way, I'm not sure how it's really relevant to anything. You're kidding yourself if you think players didn't try to threaten or intimidate Saban. They just always lost. Based on your description it sounds like Koht lost too. There are exceptionally low character people involved in this sport and it's getting worse. That transcends any staff.

Saban always spoke of recruiting high character players. Looks like he misread many of them.

You have to give Lincoln Riley credit for unlocking Hurts in the passing game.
He just wouldn't let it go while at Bama.

Of course Saban got it wrong sometimes, when you’re evaluating hundreds of players every yr from high school you’re not going to bat 1.000

Nick missed on 30% every year. Forget these past 3 years.

I think Bond all but flatly said he left because of Milroe.

quote:

"Just like the business world, you make the best decision for your company," Bond told ESPN in a phone interview Sunday. "My company right now is my draft stock. I feel like I'm putting myself in position to increase that and have better draft stock."
quote:

Asked whether catching balls from Ewers was an attraction, Bond said: "One hundred percent. He's a great big-time pocket-passer quarterback. He's a top pick in the draft next year. I'm also going to be a top pick. It's going to be a good duo."
Business decision

And Bond being at Texas has pretty much done nothing to improve his draft stock by being at Texas. If you look at his numbers, they're similar to his numbers at Bama. About the only thing he got that was better was the leased Ferrari.

I suspect that this is how it is, and how all of it will pan out.
Personally, his response to the pick-six he threw has soured me on the guy. His chickenshit, nonchalant attempt to tackle the man who intercepted the pass made me embarrassed for both him and the team.

It started for me when he was twerking in the end zone when we were losing to Vanderbilt AFTER he threw a pick six.

Not really. He just feasted on weak Big-12 defenses. LSU's abysmal 2019 defense that Bama aka "the team that couldn't develop Hurts" put on an absolute clinic against clowned all over him. I mean, by the middle of the second quarter of that game, Hurts had only completed two passes.

That 105 mph speeding ticket he got might have had something to do with it

Yeah people way overrate how much improvement he made at Oklahoma. He did improve but they didn’t drastically alter him in a span of a year. He improved a little at Bama in 2018, improved more at OU, and really improved a lot in his first 2 years in the NFL. People forget now that he looked pretty raw his first 2 years in the league

Not really , money has changed the game completely.
