It will be significantly better, as the influx of non-core posters will get the football talk going.

I've never complained on this forum until now and I wouldn't even call it complaining as much as it is just pointing out the reality of what's happening.

But, by all means, continue blaming those of us pointing it out and ignoring the legitimate posts of those pointing it out like TidalSurge- whose entire post went ignored so you could disingenuously pretend the problem was merely that wouldn't just keep scrolling.

If you're not going to enforce the rules you claim to uphold in one thread, then you're right about it being time to pass the baton.

Anyone who volunteers for such a position isn't fit for it.

That's false. I have years of experience being a minimal-moderation mod on a couple of other sites. I'm also on here a lot anyway, so I am actually pretty well-suited for it. I strive to live by the golden rule and believe that fellow Bama fans should generally treat each other as friends, not as adversaries.

Minimal moderation: Only if/when someone chooses to continually behave as a troll, bully, and/or shite-stirring argumentative trouble maker, will they get warned to reel themselves in. If they can't/don't accomplish that, they'll then get their 2nd warning, with a very short timeout to get their attention. If that doesn't work, then they'll get their 3rd final warning with a longer timeout. If they still continue with their problematic behavior after that, then they'll be permanently banned. Imo, that's a fair way to manage minimal moderation. Posters who continually behave like petulant childish brats, aiming to stir shite up and make it difficult for others to enjoy this board, should/will be dealt with accordingly.

I definitely prefer minimal moderation. Someone has to be pretty consistently trolling, stirring up and promoting heated arguments, making personal insult attacks toward their fellow board members, etc. to even get an initial warning. And they'll still get three "fresh restart" opportunities to prove they can refrain from their prior bad behavior(s) toward their fellow posters that led to the initial warning. But if they still can't/won't stop being a "locker room cancer," then it's their very own fault that they stubbornly kept going until they reached the point of being banned.

That's pretty much how I have handled minimal board moderation in the past -- privately via direct messaging. Unfortunately, this site does not provide direct messaging capabilities.

I don't think you have the ability to put aside your personal issues, Surge. I'm under your skin like blood, and did it as retribution for your continued stalking and harassment weeks ago. And you walk around here like you're blameless because of your contribution to stickied threads.

For the record, I lament being lumped with 3down10, but it is what it is.

If you (or someone like you) becomes a mod, this place would be fricked. You already are omnipresent. Mod powers would go to your head before they were even officially given.

God help the board if this happens. To be clear, I have no business being a mod either.

Quoting the numerous times you posted the meme while stalking me and adding nothing to those threads, "I don't believe you."

George, just let it go. You're doing a fine job. This board has always thrived due to light moderation, and that should continue.

Bans should only be for egregious offenses, but we all need to just chill the F out. Everybody.

All of this will pass very soon when Spring starts.

I think you are a good mod for the record. I don't think anyone who's called me a name or personally attacked me should be banned for it. Not even remotely offended. Don't think anyone has done anything that is deserving of a ban.

3down10, I like you most of the time, but please chill out.

No insult, no judgment. Please chill out. Not talking about now, but the last several weeks/months.

Just please chill out. Please just talk Alabama Sports or nothing. Please.

JMO George, but you need to keep your position as admin on this board. If there was a way to get Flesh back in that role, you two would be the best for this board. I don't post a lot on this board but I read it every day. Hopefully, a lot of the BS going on now will die down when spring football starts.

Or we'll hear about how Golding failed to show any great schemes or improvement, while ignoring it's the A day game.

But practice starts in like 9 days right?

Oh, it can end anytime Golding finally figures it out. But this supposed safety net with Strong only adds to the intrigue.

Another aspect of this growing controversy is coach Saban breaking tradition. He seldom suffers fools or folks that can't get it done.

He usually finds a place for them. I can’t recall a time when he hasn’t.

Golding is so bad that nobody wants him- not even UTSA- not even as hydration specialist.

There was nowhere to dump him off. So, we hired a babysitter.

So now the theory is Saban is keeping a guy on staff because nobody else would take him?

Is there any length you guys won't go to in order to fit your own tired narrative? Do you even realize what kind of man you are claiming Nick Saban to be? Because if I point it out, I'll just get accused of twisting peoples words.

But you are basically saying Nick Saban is a man who can't handle his business.

Because it's impossible that Saban is actually happy with Golding, even though every action he's taken has said exactly that.

I feel like Willy T is more objective about Alabama football than some of you.

Nah, with Spring coming, folks will argue, but it'll be about football and not each other. That's always better.

The summer months might be arse, though.
