Will Anderson, he's a physical specimen but he has a teddy bear heart. You can hear it in his interviews. Nice player but I don't think he is the right captain that this team needed. Some of us didn't know Will talked until this year when he made the statement about what he was gonna do to the Texas qb(I'm sure he meant well though) and that qb almost obliterated our defense until he had to leave the game due to injury. Will's game suffered a bit after he started talking as well. We needed some assholes on this team. DJ Dale is also a big teddy bear, I know a few coaches in Birmingham that coached the kid. Bama recruited him thinking he would be another DaRon Payne but he don't have the type of DNA that Payne had. I went to high school with Payne's father and his dad was not to be played with on the field or off. All the players seem to love the two dysfunctional coordinators leading me to believe that they are both great human beings but our next play callers should be guys who show tough love. Golding, I think is probably an arse kisser. Jeremy Pruitt is not and I would love to have the former player and coach back in Title Town.

Will was rushing the passer way more last season. This season Golding misused Will. Will was stunting more than rushing the passer to the outside. That's all on Golding.

To put it bluntly, we need mean, scary, rough, grown men on D. We need alpha’s, not captains.

Ro McClain was 15 years old and was the man of his house. Thugs in his city where he grew up was scared of him at the age of 15.

He's been in shootouts because he stood on business and people knew it.

People who are really connected knew about Ro history before he even made it to Bama.

SO RO MCCLAIN BEEN AN ALPHA!

Not to mention all the times he went back in coverage. There were some games where it seemed like he was barely pass rushing because he had dropped into coverage so much. That’s also on Golding.

Nobody said anything about his sacks. Did you not see how many tackles he missed this year. Don't Proofread! It had to be a bad year for defensive linemen this year for him to win all the awards he won, you think? Considering he was used wrong, let you tell it.

Someone needs to start tracking Pruitt like we track Santa Claus every year.

I’m from Decatur and know several who were close to Rolando, there are definitely reasons why he has the past he has. Not excusing any irresponsible behavior but the dude definitely has that dawg in him.

These folks downvoting but they don't know Ro's history.

He has no other choice but to carry so every time he gets pulled over shoot I EXPECT him to be arrested for a firearm.

Folks need to do their research on Ro. He wasn't BLESSED with a silver spoon like some.

No one is questioning Rolando had a rough upbringing. But he made it out. He went to Bama and got drafted 8th overall. He signed a 40 million dollar contract.

And then he made bad decision after bad decision. He made more than enough money to never be back in those circumstances or have to go around strapped ever again.

I get all that, and agree. Just happen to think it’s also a situation where none of us can say we wouldn’t make some of the same choices if we were dealt the cards he was.

That is a fact. Pete schemed Will out of the play way too much.

That sucks he had to be the man of the house at 15 but where did that get him? He had the potential to be an All-Pro if not an HoF LB. He was an Alpha back in whatever city he's from. He had a way out but that place sucked him back in. I find that to be very sad. Side note, the gun charge is bull shite.
