I'd love to see the breakdown of funds.

No idea what Bama has done with the revenue generated the past 15 years.

Sure, we'll never be the biggest spenders like Texas, but the program should be far from broke. Hopefully we'll get some sort of guardrails soon, but we've saved millions in not having to pay a HC buyout.

Where's the money? Do we need a forensic audit?

So an adequate passblocker and atrocious run blocker. Obviously we have a type.

Cam was not worth $2 million. People melting didn't watch him play much last year.

If he wasn’t worth $2 million then it’s on the staff for actually offering that.

If he helps them win a title it will have been worth it. That’s what Texas is going all in on.

It appears Texas was lowballing Cam. They were prepared to bring the hammer but only if they had to pay. Smart guys.

I can deal with disappointing losses and the bumps in the road that naturally come with transition to a new staff and scheme...but getting into a multi million dollar bidding war for a fricking Auburn receiver when the team that just whipped your arse up and down the field does so with older hungrier player is the kinda shite that will lose me as a fan.

I dont want Coleman. If we are gonna get into bidding wars for mercenary 5 stars who dont give a damn about anything but $$$, you are just going to lose to the teams that have more money. Coleman by leaving his team(not for better opportunity, but more $$) has already shown that he has low character. You dont win with players like this

Correct. So turns out the 2 guys we "lost" to Texas are pieces of shite. Definitely warrants all the sky screaming today.

I mean this is somewhat on Byrne. If he knows we are struggling for $$$ how has BDS naming rights not been sold, how has there not been an NIL fee added to tickets? They’re creative ways to get a lot of $$$ and he is doing none of them

I’m not going to white knight for Coleman because I never thought we were getting him and don’t know much about him personally, but is leaving AU right now really a sign of low character? The coach he committed to was fired. His position coach is gone. The QB room he was comfortable with was emptied out. He’s got one more year to prove himself before he gets drafted. He might be a scumbag for 1000 different reasons but transferring out of the Barn isn’t one of them.

These low character douchebags can frick off. This whole portal thing is disgusting to me. I can 100% see my interest in CFB dwindling away each season that this continues. NIL has whittled away everything that was special about CFB. Its now just a semi-pro NFL developmental league

No, but signing on to play for Hugh Freeze absolutely is.

Because outside of the revenue sharing which is capped no school can directly pay an athlete. Why is this so hard for people to understand. So no, a NIL fee cannot be attached.
