I'll be very surprised if something doesn't come down from the state telling him he's misinterpreted (which I think he has) their guidance or to outright withdraw that letter. He could, of course, issue those requirements on his own but he didn't. He quoted the state guidelines.

There aren't enough hours in the day to tell a city of 200,000 that only 10 at a time can go in a 180,000 square foot store to buy groceries.

Folks aren't going to listen anyways. Seen a barber cutting hair in the parking lot where he had set up an open trailer with a barber chair on it on Wares Ferry Rd yesterday.

That's been my point with folks harping over "shelter in place" orders. Anybody that hasn't listened up to now isn't going to listen.

By the same token, these folks that are just going Walmart or Lowes and just cruising up and down every aisle on their cell phones talking to their friends with 3 kids in tow and spending 3 hours picking up 15 items because it's their "family outing" are a part of the problem and need to be curtailed.

Kay Ivey hasn’t taken live questions since the outbreak started and is basically reading note cards that are questions supposedly “submitted in advance.”

Embarrassing. Absolutely embarrassing.

Just got back from that Walmart about an hour ago. I'm not going back unless it is an emergency. People were acting like they had never heard of social distancing. Publix, srangely enough, was just as bad.

The ones that take the stay at home order seriously are trying to get prepared to hunker down. The rest are just going about tgeir business as they have throughout. So both groups are in the stores the last couple of days.

Reed is still better than the guy he was running against. Tuberville would be proud of Woods's campaign.

Not sure how you can enforce this when nobody can buy a damn mask.

I mean, just go to Home Depot. They get painters masks in every couple of days.
