Ok, if Kiffin is off limits, how about Cignetti?

If Kiffin is toxic waste mixed with bubonic plague in Tuscaloosa, the only other viable alternative I can think of that we could want and get is Cignetti. He’s a bit of a hard arse, runs a high octane fun modern offense and is winning with way less talent than he would have in Tuscaloosa. And to the naysayers I say the only thing we can do that’s worse is sit on our hands and do nothing.

Isn’t he old as Methuselah?

That’s the last thing I would worry about. If he can extinguish this thermonuclear dumpster fire in Tuscaloosa, bring him in to fix it while we look around for his replacement. A few decent to good years beats watching the dynasty totally implode.

Too old
Meh, I would take dried up cow manure over what we have now so age doesn’t bother me at this point.

I want kiffin. Where's that upset booster? I'll tell him that he needs to take care of his wife and get over it.

Cowboy, you need to just drop that dynasty deal
That really ended in 2000

I’ll go ahead and throw out Gruden’s name.

Gruden could be interesting.

Cignetti is too big of a risk. His resume looks a lot like Deboer's (pre-Bama).

Implode bruh it’s dead. I think many fans just failed to detect the flat line.

Cignetti has had one good season at the P4 level. Same as DeBoer when we hired him. And he’s ancient and obnoxious.
You guys saying Gruden don’t realize that his last success as a coach was nearly 25 years ago in the pros. He absolutely sucked at the Raiders his 2nd stint, made AWFUL personnel decisions(check out his drafts) and was fired for saying racist and homophobic things in email.

Not Cignetti, too old like others have said.
I'll go ahead and say it. Glenn Schumann. Bama grad. Worked under Saban and Smart. Worked with Lanning. Has been in and around the SEC for almost 17 years and is only 35.

Schumann will get a long look. Would he leave for the HC job at Bama. Maybe. Maybe not. Personally, I think he'd do well but there are no guarantees.
If it HAS to be a current HC, I'd throw out Matt Campbell at Iowa State. Goofy looking dude but he wins with zero talent there in a God forsaken place (Iowa).
Lance Leipold, HC at Kansas. He resurrected that program from the dead and seems to be a good coach who much like Matt Campbell wins with a bunch of two star players and a God forsake place.

How about Clark Lea? If you can’t beat him?

No guarantees like you said. But he would be my first call. I think he could do very well here. And I don't think he'd be any worse than what were stuck with right now
I just hope we can get him before someone else does.

I like Kenny dellingham but it’s roughly the exact same thinking as the DeBoer hire

Leipold is also pretty old.
Clark Lea was on the hot seat at Vandy before he brought in Jerry Kill and Paivia
