Either way I agree Bozeman seems like a solid contributor to me.

Petitbon is injured. Brown is overweight. The only real options are Warmack, Kennedy, or Bozeman, and Bozeman is the bigger, stronger, more experienced of the three so... why is everyone shitting on Bozeman ?

This guy gets it.

Shank Taylor is an option too. Ideally he drops 20 pounds and has a great senior year. But i dont know what the chances of that are. Bozeman is the next best option right now. But he damn sure aint no Barrett Jones. c'mon man!

In just four days of betting action on Alabama's quarterback battle, the sharp money (and a whole lot of it) has massively shifted the odds on who will win the starting quarterback gig.

Representatives from BookMaker.eu, the bookmaker who set the line and is taking most of the action on this one, noted to me in correspondence that they have taken multiple limit wagers (the maximum bet amount that a sportsbook will take) on Jalen Hurts taking the first snap of the regular season.

If Hurts comes in and fricking balls out how does it affect Tua?

At this point all this arguing about who all of us want to start seems so silly. Who cares who starts. If Saban and co think that dude is the dude then he's got my full confidence until he fricks up. I don't care who plays, I just want to win.

Its not going to affect Tua at all.

If Hurts starts at Bama as a TF he is gone in the first round in 3 years.

Tua could possibly take over as a redshirt sophomore.

To be honest I wouldn't even care. We would have a 3 year starter. Hopefully however, Tua wouldn't shy away. Redshirt his first year, serve as a backup in his RS freshman season, and battle for the job as a RS sophomore. Same path that AJ took.

The only thing that scares me about Hurts winning the job though is that it would almost guarantee both Barnett and Cornwell transfer. That would leave us incredibly thin next season.

Hurts has a better shot at redshirting, then starting against USC.

It's funny how your mistakes make your idea completely nonsensical, yet still grammatically correct.

That's quite an accomplishment.

This right here Hurts starting probably helps keep Tua

With Tua coming in, I'd say the odds are very high that at least two of the four guys competing for the job right now won't be on the roster this time next season.

I don't really think that's much of a problem. I actually think that's a pretty powerful statement about how strong the QB position is at Bama right now.

All four bring something to the table that would enable them to be 'the guy' at a whole lot of quality programs. With Tua, should everyone stay that would make five and it is incredibly unrealistic to expect that that much talent is going to just sit around. They want to play and I don't blame them.

So let's say Hurts wins the job leading to BB8 and Cornwell transfering in the spring. Bama opens their 2016 title defense with an experienced sophomore starter, an upperclassman with meaningful game experience (and a similar skill set) as the backup, and a promising freshman redshirting.

I'm a good bit better than OK with that scenario.

If we had to have two guys transfer, I would rather it be Cornwell and Bateman. In a perfect world, BB8, Hurts, and Tua get a chance to play at Bama. It would really be an ushering of a new era at Bama. However, in an even more perfect world Saban modifies Bear Bryants version of the Wishbone offense and uses it to take Bama to an undefeated national championship season.

We'd need some RB depth. And that hurts to even say that. Never thought we'd be there.

I don't know anyone over the age of 25 who is "starving" for the next Namath. In fact, I think a lot of the Bama fans I know are leery of us turning into a pass-oriented team. This fascination with bright shiny things kills me. We don't need to change who we are. You make your offense a QB-centric attack and all it takes is for him to have an off day and goodbye playoff hopes.

Wrong answer. Nobody wants us to become Baylor throwing it 50 times a game. What we want is a QB who can shoulder the team when the shite hits the fan like it did against Ohio State, Oklahoma, Utah. A QB that opponents fear. We haven't had a QB that scares opponents in a long, long time. Hurts could be that guy.

I was referring to Saban speaking on behalf of his versatility. I'm not predicting he's gonna win the Outland or the Remington. Jones was the last guy we had who was able to go anywhere we needed him to be.

For frick sake I don't get the hate for a guy who clearly has Saban and the staff's blessing as a good fit for the position.

Yea, remember the ole log jam days at RB? Honestly, if we hadn't lost AT and Kamara we'd be sitting pretty at RB

Scrimmage today baby! I truly am praying Blake Barnett or Jalen Hurts sets that scrimmage on FIRE! I'm in the group of posters on this board who has 0 confidence in Cooper Bateman. I thought he has pretty much flat out sucked a$$ everytime I have seen him, and with a running game with no experience this season, we'll need more than Cooper Bateman to win.

Let's go Barnett or Hurts! I would say Cooper choke today, but it's not really choking if that's just how bad you usually play. I flat out guarantee every insider will have Barnett or Hurts as their starter today. Cooper will lose that job today....he's flaky, he has no confidence, this moment is too big for him. Just watch.

You sound way more intelligent than that Nick Saban who currently coaches. When can we sign you up.
