Shout out to Pete Golding.

That timeout on Cincy's first drive may have set the tone for the rest of this game. Cincy went backwards after that timeout.

Great win. I feel like we maybe gave their secondary too much respect but I also thought our OL took a step back in terms of protection. We will have to clean that up before the next game, regardless of who it is against.

Also, running left is smart. Cohen and Neal are beasts.

So, just got home, didn’t watch the game, but know the score. Caught bits of the first quarter on the radio and the last minute.

Can I get cliffs? Reason for low score? Injuries? Etc

We were very vanilla on offense.

We pushed their shite in worse than the score indicated.

We missed a couple of opportunities that kept the scoring lower than normal (missed FG, a couple of FGs instead of TDs) but the biggest reason was our OL just absolutely mauled their DL. 301 yards rushing on 47 carries (6.4 ypa) with BRob setting a Bama bowl record of 204 on 26 (7.8 ypa) and no really long runs to tilt the average.

Bama lined up, looked them in the eye, said we're going to run the ball and you can't stop it.

On the defensive side, Cincy got 218 total yards with 120 of that coming on their first possession of each half.

It was beautiful.

Great, thanks. Hopefully no serious injuries.

This second game isn’t looking so great, think I’ll start watching one of my four versions of the Cotton Bowl!

Cincinnati fans do have a sizeable portion of their fanbase that’s very trashy NFL like. Saw two of their fans get in a fight at J Gilligans and one pulls a knife.

Actually been to Bryan Ohio a lot for work training and it's a wierd state. Not matter whether people live in a shitty trailer or a big house everyone had a million dollar barn.

Looks like Robinson’s rushing yards got changed to 198. I guess they originally gave him credit for one of Sanders’s runs. So no official 200 yard game for him unfortunately

We saw a fight between Cincy fans leaving the parking lot tonight. Dude stopped his car in the middle of the road and grabbed some dude that had been walking beside them and pinned him up against a fence. We weren’t moving in the parking lot much, so we rolled the window down to listen in. Both guys were pretty plastered. A Bama fan broke them up.

honestly hope he's one of those guys who gets picked up by a NFL team on discount, and just plays rock solid for ten years and makes his millions. Kid has earned it.

I like Slade but he’s not playing in the NFL.

People always joke about the Patriots, but he would be perfect with Mac. He’d also be solid with any team. Even as a practice player, the guy could make wonderful money. Not to mention, I believe he already has two degrees. He more than made the most of his time

Yeah Slade is just one of those solid, hard working players for Bama but they’re not necessarily NFL players. Guys like Hanks, Maze, Smelly, Mullaney, etc. Making the NFL isn’t easy. Guys like Norwood and Stewart barely lasted despite being great, clutch player makers in college. Guys like Foster and especially Sims somehow have but you can say they were underutilized at Bama.

At best he’ll end up like Dieter who played on the Chiefs for 3 years even though he’s mostly on the PS.

I don’t want to sound like I’m hating on him, but he really isn’t very athletic.

Same here. Was cool as a cucumber when playing and later coaching. But watching? Total basket case
